I guess that is what FD are doing.. and yes it does come with a whole lot of issues
Players are being encouraged or frightened into making their own groups or join respected ones if they can find them - yes it is an answer (until a hacker infiltrates em) but what about the many who don't follow forums or don't want to join a group for whatever reason.. FD need to clamp down as hard as they can on the Hackers we report - if not it just leaves a bad taste, a feeling that they actually don't care.
I see every good reason to publicly name hackers if they keep spoiling the fun for players over and over again if FD aren't going to do anything about it.

Interesting, I wondered if that was the deal. So what happens, you sit inside a cloud of chaff and the station defences barely scratch you? Are you spamming shield cells too or is the chaff enough?
P.S. I didn't report you for cheating (I have no evidence of that at all aside from a mild disbelief that the station defences weren't getting through your shields), I merely reported you for anti-social behaviour

while you ultimately can't prevent hacking to happen, you can however make it useless, check planetside2..
there is almost no hacker inside, why?
hacks exist, but they are detected and banned very fast, meaning they can't damage the game for long, and wannabe hackerz abandon it cause they know they will get caught very fast.
the best weapon is not obfuscation / encryption, it is detection/punition

There's more disingenuous behaviour here by the griefed than by the griefer! CMDR<snip> (I've never met him in ED) has told people what he is doing. It's anti-social, but he has also been heralded as an ace pilot by others too. Either 1.1 is going to spoil his fun (and I suspect what he's doing is as much a "because it's there" as because he's an anti-social gamer. Comment welcome!), or we're going to have to arrange a lynch mob of highly motivated CMDRs to take him down. If he isn't cheating by the definition of playing the game according to its structure, then he isn't cheating period. Maybe the combination of 1.1 AND a self-appointed army of defenders is what's needed?
