Last day or so have been continuing to survey any unvisited according to galmap systems around Pleiades.
Got my list of Pleiades barnacle systems from various sources confirmed.
one earlier above is not far wrong, was only 2 or so i think so far were not on the list.
working around rather than heading to log each system , i was chatting with Canonn R&D department.
Seemed to me there lately is a lot more barnacle systems turned up lately.
The metasheet is not updated now, but looking at what was found this year was quite extensive.
We had a lot of results with new finds post 2.4 update and continued to find new systems up till around april or may at latest this year.
The search continued but few results came in after.
There have been automated plugin reports with EDSM , canonn plugins for EDMC etc probably others. Reports have been gathered for over a year so it seems that any new finds did peter out around may this year.
Considering the new finds , after i searched EDSM as well as Canonn reports with EDMC we had aquired many new systems of late.
I pride myself on knowing all the barnacles and visiting and scanning each. Suddendly of late there were many many more, how unexpected.
So i had a plan, although only a partial result i found it quite reassuring.
I had hoped to find the timestamp or when they were first reported for each system to determine when , or if any new additions did happen.
Taking the meta sheet and this thread for known barnacles, + several systems i have come across over the last week which were not in any record, EDSM canonn etc. and all reports that did come from those .
made a list of those barnacle systems and decided to see how many did have a time log for when they first appeared.
First barnacles were cyclic , and we had 6 systems in the Pleiades.
after 2.4 the Return there were allripe systems, i would approx then we had around 25 systems with barnacles.
maybe topped off at 30 at a optimistic estimate but then we found few more . ( maybe up to 50 systems with barnacles for the late finds earlier this year unlisted )
Now we have around 85+ systems just in Pleiades with Barnacles!
What seemed significant was after The Enclave

i presumed they would of meant Allripe systems, which were there for many months before.
Enclave was mid june-July.

At least 4-5 systems i came across finding no other reports in any database , and it had barnacles. all post enclave.
Unfortunately the data i aquired came from several sources , a lot from EDSM data.
The R&D guys at Canonn did do great work though, and with their automated plugin for EDMC ,
out of the 35 systems i submitted for scrutiny , only 14 yielded results.
I guess i expected all the data , but EDSM does not seem to record time data of the reports so only reports of barnacles that went through EDMC plugin got registered with any time data.
14 out of 35 though is viable data.
out of the 14 , 4 were first reported before July this year, post Enclave.
10 were all reported afterwards in August mostly or later.
Taking that sample , just over 2/3 were new systems, applying that to the unknown new systems which appeared and had no other previous reports anywhere i would estimate of those 21 remaining systems at least 14 would of been post Enclave.
It seems to me there is a drop off on discovered systems after 2019-04 , then nothing till 2019-07
That would be after Enclave occured.
Now why these new systems are depleted after the supposed human overharvesting before they have been discovered, along with my newer research among the broken allripe systems.
i dont think it is human activity causing the changes of late.
It seems to me this could well be linked to the Thargoids being the cause, taking as much MA as possible from all Pleiades sites.
( California and Witch head nebula have not had any detrimental changes and are cycling as usual )
Also the Thargoids have not been attacking and seem to be formed up defensivly for the last 4 weeks or more now,
4 systems in Pleiades and 2 systems in the Witch head.
Few weeks ago i also noted all those 6 systems were very close to multiple barnacle systems too..

almost forgot, surveyed a few more depleted allripe systems to locate the remaining ripe ones, which dont seem to cycle, so ripe for harvests.

thought wasnt going to find more, until while scouting all unvisited Pleiades designated systems i found a patch i had not visited.
mostly behind pleiades back left.
running EDMC plugins should now be logged to EDSM data.

Seems the massive influx of new barnacle systems since Enclave are mostly in the same range of Maia. 85-99.9 lyrs

didnt notice any changes in the systems i noted in B cycle when it ticked to C, so i am hoping there shall be no change this thursday.
If so , then the ex-Allripe systems should remain stable with a few surviving ones to make a nice new barnacle site list.

So many new barnacles seem to be added after the Enclave, where the Thargoids got spanked in their attack attempts in the Witch Head nebula.
Since then they are around but not directly attacking now.
Plenty of hyperdictions , 6 yesterday, 2 so far today.
If as my data suggests a lot more barnacles got planted , as many new reports of new systems started appearing after late July.
All of these are similar to previous Allripe systems which appeared after 2.4. Lately they turned mostly broken.
New systems being found are also in the same state. Mostly broken.
Doubtful it was human activity depleting the MA at barnacle sites, but more so Thargoids harvesting more MA, and increasing production of MA.
Now if thargoids need MA and less MA reduces the goids ability to sustain themselves as the codex data, suggests they are preparing to field a greater presence soon.

Btw, interesting you mention that all new barnacles are within 100 LYs of Maia, I noticed recently that NHSSs had retreated from within 175 LYs of Merope to within 100 LYs.
I see those 2 systems are just 4.28 LYs apart....

So seems the System changed again, is there a source too look for riped working barnecel in Pleades right now? Gues all the Canon ripe barnecle data is outdated? I´m kind of losing the overview. I´m not native english so mabe i get something wrong.

So i decided to continue current surveys of the broken allripe systems
old Pleiades cyclics as far as i am aware are all broken , but there may be similar to allripes a few odd survivors but considering their numbers in those 5 systems not going to check anytime soon. Pleione,Merope and HIP 17121 are expected as surveyed them a month or three back, but JC-U b3-2 and IH-V c2-16 i took a look at
JCU having 25 a piece on planets 1 and 2.
IHV had more regular with one exception, regular 5 7 10 etc and tehn the 32 or 36 ,, a good number but on just one planet
Allripes however. also not cycling. but fixed in a new phase.
unlike any ABC cycle etc, where a few would be ripe approx a third, we have around 1/8th alive but in the allripe systems majority are dead but around 1 in 8 live.
hence my recent survey shorthand , double single etc if broken i dont record, its a 0 .
since post Enclave changes and barnacles now seem stable in their fixed cycle documenting them in the hope they dont change soon.
still gathering metadata for a newer sheet yet to be made but with 91 systems - 5 original allbroken now cyclic systems +1 hyades system, will continue to gather more data.
might actually be 1/3 of the way, maybe even halfway.. not sure yet. getting some nice data recently. + thargoid visits at the few ripes ones left.
As for new MA or material sources, i shall be getting that together hopefully sooner than later.
got a significant amount of data already, incomplete but building to near halfway or more.
All ripe systems post Enclave in Pleiades are good to farm. one or two at most in the survivor barnacle systems.
I did enjoy lately the materials and filling MA up for the next feeding goids soon at the barnacle at the last site JX-T.
no visits tonight but maybe later, the Polonium was nice, along with all the other nice bits, Cadmium , MolyD,Arsenic, NioB Tungsten and Tellurium.etc
