It's certainly true that the game is still buggy, and things aren't always what we expect or hoped for. That said, it has its moments...
A couple of pictures taken down by one of the most southerly airports in the world, and while I've not been there, friends who have been seem to like the pictures. And they've sent me pictures of the real thing, and for a computer game, I'll give it a (tentative)
Are there news on how the VR beta is running? Given it should be operational by the Reverb G2 launch, they don't have much time left.
Ushuaia? Been there and in Puerto Williams too.The landscape checks out but when I was there weather was much more... Ominous.
Not heard anything about the VR beta other than a bunch of folks on the MSFS forums complaining that they'd applied but hadn't heard anything. I don't have my Reverb yet and won't until December, so I'm not interested in applying to beta test. I think there's a livestream this coming week some time, so maybe VR will get a mention.
Yes, that's Ushuaia. Although I do play around with live weather some of the time, I'm currently happy to set it myself against what I want from a flight. So for example, if I wanted to do a real ILS approach I'd try and set it so it's fogged in to a few hundred feet. Mostly I fly clear or scattered clouds with little wind as I'm still trying to hone my landing technique, and don't need to make it harder than I already seem to find it!
Here's a real life picture that is looking out towards where my Diamond was in my previous post.
It is the HP VR headset that is imminent and others will likely follow.Speaking of VR beta, I understand that VR is only for one specific headset at first (with support for other headsets coming out later). Does this imply that the headset they choose will become the "PSVR" for the new XBox? I could see why a console won't support all HMDs like a PC, but Microsoft could pick one to become the standard for their console.
Which makes me wonder if Microsoft has a deal with HP to be the "official" VR for XBox.It is the HP VR headset that is imminent and others will likely follow.
They have history! ;-) HP and MS go back a long way...Which makes me wonder if Microsoft has a deal with HP to be the "official" VR for XBox.
Hey, that could be Ponte Vecchio left to the Cathedral, no? I paid a visit once for Geleria degli Uffizi and strolled across that bridge....

It stands out quite. Here it's more castles on the hills. The majority of cities was subject to feudal system. Only large rich places like Cologne had a chance to fend off noble (and church) interest. I guess that makes it different a bit.Have never been in Siena and haven't in Perugia for many years now, but I've been in Orvieto just this August, and payed a visit inside the cathedral this time as well, it's always a beautiful city and one I get back gladly. (When possible we spend our holidays in Umbria, between Spoleto or the Trasimeno lake, I almost feel like at home in those places and cities).
Also, and I don't think it's just an Italian thing even if it might be more prominent due to orography, most cities and towns sit on hills where possible. Throwing stones down was easier than besieging uphill.![]()
