Mini Zoo Building Contest!

Shame, i actually wanted to work on a south america house with bairds tapir, peccary, sloth and maybe cuviers dwarf caiman, monkeys and exhibits, but it will still take some time till i will get to it, cause my zoo currently doest have any room where i can neatly connect to it, but who knows maybe im gonna get an idear where to put it once i pushed a bit further so we will see
Well, @Orkan still hasn't given us the deadline, so we basically gave forever to make this zoo🤣

Couldnt you start on the area in a vacuum and connect it to the zoo later? Thats what im doing right now

Props but im still very unsure on everything. I dont like venturing to far away from my other stuff as i put a lot of effort into a cohesive look and long sightlines, so going organically from one spot to the next allways connecting the habitat to another worked very well for me so far. But i guess trying out something new cant hurt

So since i probably dont have time tomorrow im gonna upload my entry today.
As it is the running theme with me, i planned more than i ended up being able to do in the time frame :D (thanks customers with urgent last minute orders)
The outside still looks like a construction side and i didnt even start on building the large shared capybara and tapir habitat that lies before the actual house beyond a rough layout. Also cut the giant otter from the roster, i originally planed for them to also be house in the amazon river section, but quickly deceided on ditching them because it would make the entire building way to big.
Also used a couple implied enclosures since we barley have any small indoor suitable SA animals.
With all that said:

"The Kairo Zoo on the Nile celebrates the grand opening of its Casa Amazona!
After you saw the capybaras and tapirs outdoor, you can enter our new building dedicated to south american animals. Once you enter the rainforest room you will be greeted by the chatter of our capuchin troop, with keen eyes you might be able to spot them up in the canopy. But dont forget to look down! There are our group of collared peccarys wallowing in the mud and having a great time."

( After buidling this my desire for more south american primates only grew even bigger. The capuchins are neat and all, but with such a high ceiling you can barely see them up there. Something bigger like howlers or spider monkeys would have been so cool.)

"Next up we got our pair of nine banded armadillos. In the short while they have been in the enclosure they have already dug up most of the plants. Their keeper is barley catching up replanting them"
( Again, ideally i would prefered something else here like tamanduas maybe since being in a desert zoo it feels just wrong to have these guys in an indoor tropical house instead of an outdoor exhibit.)

"Moving on we move by our terrariums housing all sorts of rainforest critters like the colorfull dart frogs!"

"Up ahead we got our most sleepy residents, the sloths. If you are lucky you might even spot their super shy and VERY elusive (wink wink) agouti roommates"

"After visiting all our Rainforest room inhabitans we can move on into our Amazon river section"

"Our first stop is at our green anaconda. Only fitting that the worlds largest river is harboring the worlds largest snake. You might spot our big female chilling at the bottom of her pool!"

"Moving along we arrive at our caiman lizards, large colorfull lizards found among the amazons countless wetlands"

20231115003425_1.jpg

"Passing by the caiman lizards we arrive at our main attraction, actuall caimans! These guy spend most of their time lounging around the water and land"
(literally, because of the crocodilians awfull traverseable are they are all stuck in one place and can barley make a step :D )

That marks the end of the Casa Amazona, atleast for now. Most walls feels still pretty empty and i wanna do alot more signage and decoration. Also those capybaras and tapir will definetly also move in one day
