Mining buffed?

Yeah...

Where I mine, I am Allied with the controling faction. The system wasn't in any "State" yesterday when I went for my first Mining trip in 3.0.

Lo and behold... Platinum was sold for 42k/t, LTDs 98k/t and Palladuim was sold for about 14k/t, while the Galactic Average was the same as before 3.0 update.

I didn't see any change regarding Painite.

Anyone else who seen this?

Yup, saw it last night. Painite at some stations is selling for 120k but they are usually stations in Boom state. Not sure what the demand for these metals/minerals is going up, but I'll happily mine them and sell to the right markets.

Yes, it seems Platinum and Diamonds are rather profitable for mining.

Maybe the next step is to move Painite into rocky belts, so they have a reason to exist. Then we get ice belts with Diamonds, rocky belts with Painite and metallic belts with Platinum and the highest average value of ores found.

I thought i saw Painite as 70k in a tech system.. with 120k when it's in boom. Mining right now.. drop rates seem the same.

Yep, a bit weird in the last time. If factions have "no state" the pay good, if the are in "boom" state the prices are getting worse. Something is confused here i fear.

not sure about those droprates, its RNG ofcourse, but last weekend we went mining with a wing of 3, we all ended up with 50ish painite.

My Fav Pristine Metallic site in Delkar 7 got a visit from me over the weekend just to see if the collection side of mining has been buffed. Now I very rarely come away with less than 50 tons of Pain (ITE stands for Pain In The Exterior), and never leave site with less than 35 tons, but over 2 days and 4 mining visits i was down to under 20 tons with one trip only spouting 16 tons..........??

So IMHO, whilst the price of the stuff is like 'Very Nice', finding the damn Pain-I-T-E is dropped. Needless to say my mining conda has gone back to it's favourite pastime of collecting dust particles in Jameson Hanger.

That is not what anyone has said though... Painite used to be around 73-80k/t when sold at starports in Boom (usually high-tech), but it is now reported that Boom states can offer up to 120k/t for Painite.

I will report back once my fav place to mine is in Boom... I am pretty sure the prices will be even better, and not worse.

Went mining for the 1st time at Delkar 7 yesterday, I too was a little disappointed with the 18 tons of Painite I got. Either bad luck for both of us, or some credit balancing code for miners, introduced for 3.0.

Funny, 18 tons of painite is how much I managed last night as well....I smell conspiracy! :p

Lets hope it will not... Mining has been one of the worst paying activities in the game for a very long time. It's not like Miners will all of a sudden earn 200 mill / hour... :)

<digs the type 9 miner out of storage>

Hey man watch this, hold my beer...

I was also at Delkar 7 last night. Came out with about 40 to 50t of Painite per run. This is fairly long runs though - Mining Anaconda shipping out with about 150 limpets.
