Because you need to scan to find resources, survey ships will likely become a thing to scout for your mining ships, like I've been using my DBX for to find low temperature diamonds. I just find this really cool! Thanks Fdev!

Edit: Also, such scanning just made me a million in credits as a bonus! Nice surprise.
