I found out THE best way to get Tritium from mining is to "dive" in ResH with a properly equipped ship - 2 of the "big 3" can - and will ! - do the job perfectly, the Vette and Annie, and with some extra precautions, even the Cutter.
But is one very important condition, aside from the peculiar, and carefully build ( here I can help anyone who need an advice) - this condition is to find the ResH who is overlapping the Tritium hotspot !
Are not too many, so is worth booking those - I can tell you, from my own experience, you can get over 200 tones in 30-45 minutes, easily, with the added bonus of some great credits from bounties.
I filled by carrier with over 7000 tones in just 2 weeks, like that, here in Colonia - more than enough to get back and with a reserve of some extra 1000 tones.
Hell, I even turn Tritium from mining to those especial missions where the payout is great ( 30-100 millions for 30-70 tones of Tritium).
The business with Tritium in Colonia is flourishing, and is so booming I could even permit the "luxury" of transfer of some ships you cannot get here ( Chieftain, Challenger, etc) from the bubble, at the "premium" cost of 120-140 millions a piece
