Currently in odyssey, i'm seeing trit hotspots acting very odd to me anyway.
The center of the hotspot has little tritium. And the tritium it has is low percentage.
But, if you go about 100km away from the center, you usually get a higher number of rocks with acceptable levels of tritium (18-25%).
But even then, i'm seeing roughly 1 limpet per ton overall.
it feels like it takes forever because you're just wasting so much time doing nothing trying to find a tritium roid with anything above 15% because most of the roids just have worthless commodities not worth carrying.
It's depressingly boring. Granted, if you're far enough away where you can't purchase tritium, it's your own fault. There is 0 reason to do that with a carrier ...there is nothing out in the black - it's 400 billion wastes of time and effort in the galaxy - entirely unused by Fdev for anything but saying that it's there ... so yea, the only one to blame when someone is moaning and groaning about mining out in the black is the person complaining for ignoring the reality of the game. But i hate the stupid infinite wealth and nonsensical safety of the bubble even more.
i'm not sure if tritium hot spots or any hotspots are working as designed, hard to tell what's buggy and what's intentional... But in any case, it's likely not going to change anytime soon. So just do yourself a favor and never take your carrier out where you wont reach another place you can purchase tritium or have good overlaps that may still improve yield (not sure anymore). There is absolutely no reason to ever take it out in the black . There is nothing to discover. Nothing to experience that you can't near populated systems.
