mission board failed server update

well I keep running into a the message (Failed to Communicate with Server- unable to get an up to date mission list from Server)

It happens sometimes. You can try changing to a different mode (private, solo, open) whichever you're not currently in and go from there, then change back to your preferred mode if you can get a mission as they're persistent over modes.

Other than that there's nothing I know of that will help.

well tried to going from one mode to another nothing happened still saying the same thing thx

I would check your internet connection and make sure your provider is giving you the correct Mb/s
After that, power down your router and reboot it (exit game first.)

This the first update for ED, were for me, the servers have been rock solid.

I had the game on Xbox since it was first put on the Xbox I been through many update and I never had this problem
