A year and a half later and the most basic missions are still broken?
Just did a settlement raid and the last target wasn´t around. Checked the terminal, no staff present.
This has been reported and acknowledged several times since the release of Odyssey.
I can´t even laugh about these things anymore, it feels like they are simply incapable to fix some things.
I don´t want to sound harsh, but at this point it´s just ridiculous.
At least the framerate was better than the last time.
I have to be honest: I almost completely stopped playing EDO for the month of November. And the reason was similar to the OP: I just got sick of tripping over the same bugs again and again, bugs that have been reported countless times, acknowledged often, and still persist. And not even so-called "edge-case bugs" but bugs that even a casual playthrough will uncover, such as the various mission bugs. I used to say this all the time with Horizons: I am at a loss to name another developer that seems as indifferent to QoL as Frontier is. Even though I prefer EDO, I have instead been banking hours in NMS and Eve Online. Sure, those games have their issues, but at least the devs are quick to address reported issues. I found going to Eve (or NMS) from Elite was like upgrading from a fleabag motel to the Ritz. Polish, polish, polish everywhere. Meanwhile, we keep complaining to Frontier management about the aliased cockroaches in our rooms but all we get is a pre-recorded "we're (perhaps) working on it" response.
Very frustrating.
As ever, I am
hopeful that this next update delivers a hefty dose of QoL because the game doesn't just need it, but it
deserves it.
