Mode switching for missions and Smeaton Orbital [200mill/hour]

Objection, relevance.

Enough to stop grinding credits and focus on G5 materials?

Do you have a fleet to upgrade after the patch drops too?

Edit: Opportunity knocks people! Cash runs nerf hammered,
500+1000 G5's is gonna convert to a massive time saving...
(Ran a few errands for Ram Tah while his pocket was deep)

Overruled. This whole discussion exists because people have TOO MUCH time and are having such a hard time filling it that role playing a bus driver is the most rewarding thing they can think of! [big grin]

Yeah, noticed that.

But, why do people ask "How much money you got?" like it has any relevance to their progress and, isn't that considered a bit rude? Some employers have been known to prohibit divulging salary and we wouldn't want to risk our good standing with Tah, Palin et al. now would we...

Hello everyone,

I've gone through your responses based on the statement that I made yesterday and wanted to thank you for your feedback, critical and positive. We hear what you’re saying on multiple issues raised in this discussion and we'll take all feedback we've received onboard.

There are a few things I want to clarify in case there’s any confusion:

  1. As I said in my original post, we don’t feel that this is an exploit, but an imbalanced element of our mission reward algorithm. 'Distance from the star' is a mission reward element we want to keep, but as said yesterday, we feel it needs balancing so we’ve temporarily turned off that particular mission reward element. We're not removing it; we just need to test it before reintroducing it back into the game. As a result you will see reduced credit rewards for Passenger Bulk missions for the time being while we find the right balance.
  2. As this is not an exploit, but a balancing matter, we won’t be removing credits from those who have earned credits in this way.
  3. Regarding 'mission board switching', we’ve passed the feedback onto the team and we'll update you when we .
If there's additional feedback you want to share on the matter, please do so but make sure it’s constructive and civil. Thanks!
My dream in regards to the mission board flipping is that we simply remove the stupid amounts of missions we can carry anyway, and instead increase the payout of missions in general so that we don't need to do that in the first place. I'd rather take one good paying mission instead of 10-20 worse paying ones after sitting and flipping for half an hour or so. Otherwise I suggest you add a reload button to the mission board to flip it without mode switching to make it feel less scummy, but my hope is, especially with the mission changes & progress bars that we go in the other direction instead (every mission should be able to be done in several partial runs if you cannot do it a single one, not just wing related ones).

While others won't take just one. They'll take them all. Refresh. Then take any more that show up. Nothing will change except everyone making more per mission. I think that's why the limit was put there in the first place. Full circle now. ;)

You guys are missing something that's apparently fundamental to 20th and 21st century human ingenuity, and I'd say none of these people mode flipped the mission board...

Briefly taking a leaf from the annals of the Quince surface scanning mission exploit when the limit was reduced to three each, people still found ways to do more in less time...

Problem: More rewards in less time. If FDev can resolve that, less people will go out of their way to find and exploit their limited amount of play time to reach Anaconda.

[Afterthought: This ambitious behaviour has been and will probably continue, forever]
