JWE2 is not Jpog. And what's with this "species X and Y are found in the same formation Z, so they should like each other"? How does that even make sense?
That's like saying "lions and hyenas should like each other, since they are living in the same region at the same time".
Lions and hyenas are of different types scientifically. No one expects those two to like each other.
Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis serves as a basis for the development of the
Jurassic World: Evolution games.
In
Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis, most fans and players find it odd to see Dilophosaurus and Velociraptor like each other even they are of different types.
In
Jurassic World: Evolution 2, Ceratosaurus and Allosaurus are of different types. They like each other due to their fossil discovery is in Lourinha Formation in Portugal, Como Bluff in Wyoming, Cleveland-Lloyd Dinosaur Quarry in Utah, Garden Park and Morrison Formation in Colorado.
Majungasaurus and Carnotaurus like each other because they are abelisaurids. Why not do the same for Acrocanthosaurus and Carcharodontosaurus? Same for Albertosaurus, Qianzhousaurus, and Tarbosaurus (if it is added)?
True - JWE2 is easily 100 times better than JPOG ever was. So, JWE2's species compatibility should also be much better.
I find the sandbox gameplay of
Jurassic World: Evolution 2 is becoming like
Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis. I like the element of
Jurassic World: Evolution 2 in which herbivores do not require feeders and the paleobotany makes the herbivore exhibits more authentic. In the non-sandbox gameplay, I find egg failures frustrating and I have to reload several times to get a full batch when I upgraded the hatchery with advanced equipment. Before the latest update, it is a nuisance when it comes to finding suitable scientists. I have to time at which point the park report comes up and save so that I have reload until I find the candidates suitable.
Speaking of compatibility, there is still room for improvement.
