Moving a building or item next to another-directly across question

Does anyone know of a way to move-say a frame of a building or a tree or anything directly across from the first one? Instance-I place a planter frame on a plaza and I want another one just like it on the other side of the plaza but lined up directly next to the first. Other then guessing is there a trick to do this?

Thanks!

Control-x will make a duplicate and put you into advanced move mode. That should let you swing it around (easier with angle snap turned on) and then slide it over to where you want it.

That combo is also good for taking a wall and building a curving portion of one.

Thanks for the answer-I appreciate it. Its not quite what I needed. Say I wanted to have two buildings on either far side of a plaza. I want them to line up so they are not offset. Does that make sense?

Hi Chris, I still think that the use of X (advanced move mode) is what you're looking for. Try enabling snap, so you can turn it around for exactly 180°. Otherwise, maybe some screens will help to solve the problem so we can take a look at it? ^^

Ok maybe this will help. I'd like to make the two buildings line up exactly across from each other . it can be tough if they are not right next to each other to line them up perfect. Do these help? Thanks!!
