Multicrew Mining Question

Just a quick question as can't find an up to to date answer anywhere.

I have a Krait II setup for mining (which is awesome imo) so have two spare multicrew seats plus a fighter. All relevant modules are multicrew versions.

Invited two of my friends to multicrew and expected one to be able to control the hardpoints and the other to control limpits, scanners, etc or even better a combination of the two for each person.

However it just seemed that one person "gunner" could control everything except the prospector limpits (which remain in my control) and the other person "idle" had access to nothing at all.

Is this intended or am I missing something. A way to designate modules and fire groups to each person or is just one person essentially there as a spectator who can jump into the fighter now and then?

Thanks.

Only one person can take on the gunner role. Thus only one person can control turrets and other assortment of modules.

To me this illustrates the draw backs to multicrew mining. However blowing asteroids apart can create small spaces that are hard for large ships. I would like to see ship launched mining fighters.

Mining fighters can have an assortment of mining weapons attached. As well as having a pulse wave scanner to assist in looking for those rocks we can explode.

From what I've seen... Not for mining unless you have someone in a ship launched fighter patrolling around.

Having 2 extra people on board when fighting is nice though. You get those extra pips for power management, and if you were to die, you get a discount on the rebuy for each member in multicrew.

OK thanks for the replies.

So at the moment mining is for 1-2 people with a third as a passenger/fighter pilot
