Multiplayer Park Rating & Awards System

So me and a friend had a really good idea. Well at least we think its a good idea

There used to be a game called The Movies where you can create and direct your own movie and upload and people watch your movie and rate it and leave feedback.

So we was thinking, maybe you guys could implement a similar system?
So you create your park, upload it and people can visit your park and try out the rides and walk around in first person and see all the details and views and then rate it and leave a review.

Every so often there could be awards like scariest ride etc and people vote on your park to win the award or something along them lines just for bragging rights.

It would be good if you could geo tag your park so i could search for parks just created in England or in my area and then just view them parks and rate them and the rides.

I think its a really good idea, and would encourage people to be more creative. The reviews/feedback would be great too because you would know what areas to improve in your park. Say someone wrote a review that they was stood in a queue for a long time you could then adjust your queues etc.

Would be good to have some feedback on the idea but i think it would be great.

Ps Also, if you could build a go kart track in your park and when people vist they can drive them around the track you make with other players that visit your park too as a little mini game. Go karting.

I think this is a great idea if they want to push the community thing. Would be more interesting than just stats on number of guests/park value etc. Could also make park ratings more meaningful. Ihe in game park rating system is always going to be fairly limited as a calculated measure rather than being able to take into account subjective things like if you have themed your rides well or your guests can get round the park easily.

Yes exactly. It would just encourage people to theme their park better knowing a real person could enter the park and walk around and ride the rides and then leave a review on how well your park is or what you could improve on.

Maybe there could be a credit system too, where a real guest has "money" and can spend it in your park and you can buy extra items with only the money real people spend in your park. If that makes sense. Just another idea lol probably taking it too far now haha. Glad someone else thinks the idea would be good too though.

Great idea. If they are looking to enhance the community aspect of the game then this is the way to do it!

If they do something like this I would hope they do it like you tube. Allow you to turn off comments. Not everyone would want to leave them self open to mean posts.

I do really like the idea of +1 a park to move it up, but I would hate to see community get negative.

Ahh good point. Didnt think of that but this game, well in my opinion, seems like it only attracts serious, friendly enthusiasts and probably wouldnt put people down for trying and maybe just give constructive critisism. But yea i agree they should have the option to turn them off if they wish.

Yeah, I'm rather iffy about this idea, due to the potential negative factor.

I generally like this idea, however you never know the types of comments that you will get until you actually see them. A lot of times people post mean things just for the fun of it to get others upset. If something like this is implemented, there will have to be a way of deleting comments and controlling who is allowed to post. For instance, if somebody posts a comment on your park with a lot of obscene language, you would be able to delete it and keep them from posting again. Also it has to be made so that visitors to the park can not change anything in the park or influence it in any way.

True, but also at this point it's just the Alpha people and the die hard coaster people here. It could be very different after release and the wider masses get here.

Yeah i suppose the only downside to it is the negativity side of it. But if the option is there, either dont upload it (to the website or whatever system is in place to rate the park) or have the option to delete comments. Im not creative at all so my park probably would get slated lol but it would be good for people that are good at creating parks to say look maybe do this or do that but this area is quite nice etc. Basically constructive critisism.
It would be good to have aslong as nobodies feelings get hurt it would be great i think anyway

I support a rating system for park downloads. The PC community has a great community and I want to be able to quickly and easily see the highest rated pieces of work. I also hope Frontier expands upon the multiplayer aspect of PC (visiting friends parks, riding the rides with friends, etc.)

I would like to see it where I don't have to go online to download the park first. Almost like in all those mobile games where you can just click a button inside of the game and "visit" someone else's park which then downloads and opens that park for them. In this way players could easily just select from in game if they want players to be able to visit their park.

@Wendyiswishing- I don't think its possible to load another players park without "downloading" the file. I mean, they can make it so it happens automatically inside the games main menu. I'm sure Frontier is already aware of the need for a built-in downloading system, especially if they allow user generated content (which is probably going to happen).

Sorry, yes I didn't mean not being online at all I simply meant not having to go into a separate browser outside the game to download them. Sorry I should have been more clear!
