Multyplayer and guilds do not equal PVP

We have our own Team Speak, your almost never alone. I don't do the team speak thing, because it annoys me to hear people talk. But I fly by them all the time.

No problem mate, I have my TS too, thanks anyway.
Also because I'm not a native English speaker , I might have problems of understanding :)
 
Ugh... with guilds come the never ending spam of "This-and-that recruiting! Blablabla we have TS and this and that and whatnot"... No thanks - at least not in-game.
 
Well, why not have the option for guilds or whatever it should be called?

The problem with allowing guilds is that they demand to have special content, because they are all special players and the game offers no challenge to them. It's happened time and time again - and the sad thing is that they cannot see how they have held back gaming for the last few decades.
 
And you don't think that will happen anyway? People are going to group up, no matter what. Some posters have some valid points that there is plenty out of game options to make a guild, but would it be so hard to make something in game to make life easier for these?

If there's in-game measures to dodge/filter out all the GARBAGE "guild recruiters" (in every game with guilds) do, yea sure- why not... But no thanks, preferably.
 
I can understand the frustration, but, if you want to start a guild, you can. They could build something into the game itself, but you can use pre-existing services to accomplish that task. I can see why it is not top priority for them.

Most clans/guilds/whatever you wanna call them want some fairly custom things. They want their own boards, they want their own private teamspeak/ventrilo ... etc.

Just my thoughts, and I'd like to eventually join a group.... just don't see the large need for integration.

You are kind of missing the entire point. People are going to group up, no matter what. Elite does not cater for groups larger than 32 in one island - so the larger groups get, the less and less targets they are going to find as they have already filled their island. If N00bKill guild all gets together for their monthly gank tuition - and there's 32 of them - they will find no n00bs or fat traders to gank, as they have already populated their island.

Smaller groups will get together and play, and fight, and have fun - by the nature of them not being in huge guilds so that their island can accommodate more, unassociated players. Those smaller groups need no guild support - as management of groups that size is already catered for by the game. It's perfectly simple.
