My DK2 experience with 1.3.

Single 980 - fired this up for the first time in 2 weeks and noticed right away that it looks and runs better. Curved menu much better :)

Yes make sure you put the desktop mouse into view on the rift just after you click to launch the game from the desktop launcher
This removes it from in game

Thanks. I had it in the corner of my view for about 1/2 an hour last night - could just see this bright spot in my left eye - didn't know what it was and it was annoying as hell. I thought my screen was borked, until I moved my mouse and realized what it was.

Thanks for the tip about the mouse cursor, I tested 1.3 for the first time yesterday, and that was quite an annoying problem. So much so that I could not focus on checking out any other VR-related changes in 1.3. (I am used to moving around using the mouse in all the menus, also in VR).

Have to test this fix today.

By the way (and off topic), had a bit of a trouble finding these forums, I'm used to going to the Elite Dangerous main web page and click on Forums on the top right menu item. That is no more, now I got into some Community area and could not find my way back to these forums. Had to use the browser history to come here. :)

Thanks for the mouse tip. Haven't tried it yet. You got to laugh, I updated nvidia drivers to the latest ones but did not enable sli! I have been running with one of the titan's only. Still pretty good but I noticed a bit of judder when I switched to the Asp. Doh!!!

Running 1.3 with SDK 0.6 No issues for me. Still some judder in stations but RES sites and planetary approach is much better. I find i can play for long periods now without getting eye fatigue. Something I found i was getting with 1.2 and 0.5 SDK due to framerate drops.

PS Running Dual 980 SLI with 1.5 SS .. not DSR

Hello,
I can confirm improvements in the stations and so on as mentioned by others, too. But for me this update brought a bad side effect. The Galaxy map is now badly stuttering, picture looks almost "cross-eyed". In the old Version the "zoom in" was always a bit rough, but later it could totally smoothly select my destination. In the 1.3 its unusable for me. I turned the map to lowest setting, no change. I Use an ok I5 and a oc Nvidia 780 card.. Anyone else here with the same problems here? Or did I miss something and this is already known?

Running 1.3 with SDK 0.6. Only issue is the Mouse thing...moving the mouse to the rift fixed it...

My both Rigs specs are:

Notebook MSI GT80 - Titan SLI 2xGTX980M
I7 - 4980HQ
32GB RAM
Windows 8.1

PC I7 3770k
Nvidia Geforce Titan
24GB RAM
Windows 7

I mostly play with my new Notebook. Performance is quite nice with DK2. I use Supersampling at 2880 x 1660. HUD is green, which is not realy my favorite color but its good for DK2...
Overall gaming in VR is awesome, i love to look around while mining and looking for good astroid or just looking around the cockpit to activate the different hud's

Seems like the majority are pleased with the performance in 1.3. That's good!

In hindsight I shoulda made this thread a poll, it wouldve been easier to see the results..... oh well....

Happy VR Flying CMDRs!

I also have judder now in the galaxy map, I guess it is due to the new galactic powers being rendered.
Stations are really better, judder is gone.
