My first impressions on Multi Crew mining

Well, after playing some Elite: Dangerous last night, mining with friends in Multi Crew brought out some issues.

Apart from the normal mining lasers, there is no point buying the other mining tools in the turreted versions.
Crew mates could not see the mini games for subsurface drilling or planting charges.
So that's a waste of time and ammo, unless there was something they were missing?

So we decided mining in Multi Crew, only buy turreted mining lasers, so you (the pilot) can do the surface, subsurface and fissures while your Crew Mate does old school mining.
Which worked really well. Especially as all Crew Mates can see the pulse wave go off (even my mate in the SLF seen it go) and help look for decent sized asteroids to prospect.

Also, a word of warning Crew Mates can detonate the charges at any time.

So be careful of trolls if you do random Multi Crew, as they can blow your charges early.
Perhaps FDev should reconsider this option, or have a toggle that only the person who is shooting the charges can blow them?
(Though as I was with friends, we took it in turns detonating and had fun with it doing countdowns etc.)

Apart from that, is was really good fun mining in my Anaconda, with one mate doing mining lasers and one on guard in an SLF while I did the other stuff.

The other issue, which has been brought up with Multi Crew;

Payouts.

Or should I say, lack of payouts.

I really should have an option to do an even split of the profits, as my mates got next to nothing for out little bit of fun while I pulled a 10 million.
This really needs looking at now. As for the crew, it really wasn't worth their time (besides the fun factor).

Anyway, that's my first take on mining with Multi Crew.

Have fun CMDRs
