Last year I started playing this awesome game called Elite Dangerous. Perhaps you’ve heard of it? After a couple weeks of bumbling around lost in space, I learned this thing called “GalNet” existed. This fictional news agency was filled with articles that, for all intents and purposes, told the “story” of Elite Dangerous. I started digging into it, and was hooked by the unfolding drama that I had been entirely oblivious to when I was first given the keys to a rental Sidewinder.
Not long after discovering GalNet, I also learned that players could submit their own stories to GalNet, and that they could be published in-game. I was asked by the player group I joined around that time (Lavigny's Legion) to write such an article for them. I did, and eventually had one published.
One thing led to another, and an addiction grew until today I celebrated the publication of my 100th article. If anyone is interested, I’ve included screenshots of all 100 below in spoiler tags (hopefully I haven't messed them up too horribly). Some of them do not have my name on them, but if you wish, you can verify I was the author by searching for them in the GalNet submission threads here and here.
I'd like to thank those who got me started (they know who they are) and those who regularly rep my submissions and send me kind PMs offering words of support (you know who you are too). I'd also like to thank the folks at Frontier for making it possible for players to contribute content to GalNet and various system news feeds. This hobby has provided an entertaining diversion unto itself as it allowed me to relax and explore the world of creative writing.
Most of all, I'd like to thank my wife for putting up with late night writing, stories about intrepid space adventurers, and the ins-and-outs of political machinations of fictional characters she cares nothing about. (She loves me )
I'd also like to put in a plug for the Discord operated by Elite Dangerous journalists and fan-fiction writers. If you are interested in contributing content, writing your own stories, or if you're looking for advice, here is an invite.
Anyway, I know some of my work has been controversial (journalism often is), but I hope that some have and will enjoy the content I've contributed for what it is.
Thanks!

I actually retracted this article, but it was published anyway.
