Newcomer / Intro My Return to ED ......

Ray Gateway is shown in the HIP 13674 System not the Diaguandri System. However, Diaguandri is close by.
Did you get the write Station Quain ? ;)
There may be more than one Ray Gateway in the game. In your ship galaxy map go for Diaguandri system and if necessary go to the Nav Beacon, drop out of supercruise, target the Nav Beacon to get the system data loaded to your ship and Ray Gateway will be on the list of places in the system.
Do me a favour when you get there and check in on my Anaconda "Silver Dragon", Krait II "Silver Chimera", Alliance Chieftan "Silver Manticore" and my DBX "Silver Fox" when you get there 😉

I just checked, there are 3 Ray Gateways in the game.
I also worked out that 24T of cargo space in the Cobra can used to to generate between 2.5 and 3 million per hour when you use EDDB to find you a loop route where you trade between two stations not too far apart. You need to check for a new trade loop each day you do this because prices will change, if you want to do it at all of course.

Edit: just remembered why I went back and used a Cobra for a while even though I had bigger ships. Excluding the effects of engineering and certain special thrusters engineers sell if you have access to them, the Cobra is the fastest ship in the game when you boost using 4A thrusters. The Cobra is agile and relatively easy to escape interdictions with, but if you get interdicted in the Cobra and don't want to fight, point the ship at the destination station again and keep boosting until you can charge the FSD and escape. Only another Cobra can keep up and only if it has the best 4A thrusters.

Welcome to one of the more realistic features of Elite, just as in the mundane world we live in there are multiple places in different locations with the same name.

There are at least 3 places called Ray Gateway with the one at Diaguandri being the one you want.

Bloody hell ! What else have you stored there ? 🤣
No problems. I'm already underway.
Nice, something I can do for you ! (y)
(Double nice, the naming of your ships ........ Silver Something ...... I like that ...... Rather than Manita 2, I could have Manita Ghost, or Manita Beauty ..... 🤔).

Oh! That'll please Quain. (y)
I can't "see", from a remote location, the content of any System as I don't get a System's Map until I visit it.
I know I could find it externally of ED (eg. EDDB maybe), but I sometimes see that as a 'Spoiler'.
Spoils the fun of finding out when I visit for the first time. Sorry ....... WHEN I EXPLORE !!!!! ;)
I'm still 'visiting' Diagrandri to check for Quain's fleet of ships.

Here's the makeup of my Hauler:

I have a Cargo Rack store on board as well. Why is it not shown in the Anara listing above ?

I've completed a 20 Systems jump to Diaguandri and safely parked in a Hanger at the Ray Gateway Station. I only use half a tank of fuel getting here which is very encouraging.
Quain?
I can't see how to check what you have stored here ......
Can you advise me ? Thanks.

Just done my first passenger run. A couple of medicos. Around 19 000 credits. Small bickies, but it's a start. No problem. completed successfully. (y)

Hmmmm ..... it's ok here. Maybe not this Station. Maybe something quieter. But I'll make this my first exploration location. There's a stack here to visit.

You can't actually see what other players have stored at stations.
He was joking.

Your cargo rack, along with any other stored modules, are stored in stations, not your ship, which is why it's not listed.

And now a third change. 😖 Sorry ........ need to tighten it, or maybe even "better clarify things". For me anyway ..... ;) I know, I know, I will be criticized for being pedantic, but I can't help it ! :D
Again, input from others would be most welcome. (y)

There is one Universe that includes everything.

The Universe is full of billions, trillions of Galaxies.
Our own Galaxy is called The Milky Way (sometimes just called The Galaxy).

Each Galaxy is made up of billions of solar systems (sometimes just called Systems).
Our own solar system is called the Solar System
(denoted by the capitalization to distinguish it from other solar systems (or just “other Systems”) )
and is part of The Milk Way (or, similarly, “part of The Galaxy”).

Each solar system (or System) is made up of a Star or in some cases a number of Stars, together with numerous Planets.
Our own Solar System (sometimes also called Sol) has one Star (which we call the Sun or Sol) together with eight Planets. One of these Planets is what we call the Earth.

In the case of ED, there is just one Galaxy. That Galaxy being The Milky Way which includes our Solar System with the Sun and the Earth.

Hence, the terms I intend to use are:

Universe
Galaxies
Milky Way (our Galaxy)
Systems
Solar System (our System)
Stars
Sun or Sol (our Star)
Planets
Earth (our Planet)
These terms have so far not let me down either in real life or ED. (y)

However, I have come across two terms that are used in EDDB which are new to me, but I think are specific to EDDB only.
They are: Bodies and Attractions.
Bodies seem to include any naturally occurring solid object within a System.
Examples being: Star, Sun, Planet, Moon, Asteroid, Meteor, Meteor Belt or Shower, etc.
Attractions seem to include manufactured or naturally occurring planetary object or objects.
Examples being: Laboratories, ships, barracks, plantations, beacons, presidents, installations, histories, enterprises, universities, etc.

What do others think ? 🤔

Oh ! And I thought it was my chance to help him! I don't know whether to 🤣 or 😢 .

Oh ! So that means if want to change from passenger-carrying to object-couriering, I have to fly back to the station holding my Rack to make the change ? 😧
It would be easier to just buy a new Rack ! 😡

Passenger cabins, cargo racks, a couple of fuel scoops. I think I got rid of the mining gear.
Ships I no longer have: Silver Pixie - Sidewinder, Silver Goblin - Hauler, Silver Stirge - Eagle (flew it once, didn't like the thruster noise and sold it), Silver Centaur - ASP X, Silver Pegasus - Python.
The second Krait II in Colonia is Bronze Chimera as Bronze also has some significance to Quain and Silver Phoenix is the Krait Phantom explorer.
Quain is actually a major supporting character in fantasy fiction novel I wrote and self-published a few years ago. He is also known by the sobriquet Silver Warrior - wears shiny armour. He's a veteran warrior not yet "passed it" fighting for his country in dark times helping a young prince somehow fill the empty shoes left behind by the prince's grandfather - a legendary general.
I'm bringing a younger version of Quain from when he was a directionless mercenary into Elite Dangerous, but it's proving harder than I though to keep him true to his character as I discover what his ultimate combat ship should be. Exploration is simply another adventure for him.
What Quain wants:
1. A noble cause to fight for
2. Simple minded Damsels in distress in need of rescue, especially red heads
Number 1 is proving tough as the galaxy seems to be full of "wretched hives of scum and villainy".
Number 2 - Quain is very misguided. I doubt he will meet another Hazel in this galaxy - a woman who is not in distress, does not need rescuing, is not a red head (a not especially tall or slim blonde who is never-the-less loaded with charisma) and is the opposite of simple minded, and a magician.

You can get your stored modules sent to your current location. It will cost a few credits though and it takes some amount of time depending on how far away you are.

Sorry Wombat it was a tongue in cheek joke, or a bit of role play if you will. There is no way to see what other players have stored in stations. There must be 10s of thousands of ships stored in places like Jameson's Memorial station. Only player owned Fleet Carriers are visible in space, nothing else is unless you play in open and encounter them.

You can buy another rack in most stations.
You can also have your equipment delivered to you. Just go to outfitting and scroll all the way down.

Stuff the rest you wrote about ! This is what interests me !
I'd been going to Bali for 6 years. I was known as the Bali virgin. They just didn't interest me. As friends yes, but no more.
I've been married for 45 years, had three children and lost (death) my wife10 years earlier.
And then I met my Hazel ! I was gone and have been for the last 4 years. And how lucky am I !
But now I'm stuck in Australia and she's stuck in Java.
Hopefully, that's all about to change: Australia has removed legislation that was stopping me from returning to Bali.

Huh ! Now you tell me ! It's ok. I shouldn't have been so naive ! :p
