Obsidian Orbital has mine as well, though Obsidian Annex has a nice ring to it. It also abbreviates to OA. ;)

For Ben, I know he'd like a smuggler's paradise. I propose a new CG for the first community built planetary smuggler base in Ben's honor.

I had nothing to do with creating this CG or any other, i am not even that great a player, even my wife hates me, i embarrass my children, but i do play lots until my bottom hurts.

So because of my sore botty, i think i deserve a station, i have search the Gal map and no where is Nosccar mentioned, so i propose Nosscars cradle as a station name, this would provide me with lots of support for my botty, and maybe make my children proud of me, (not much hope with the wife though).

So please +1 for Nosscars Cradle, because i think i deserve it. ;)

edit: you know it makes sense.

I think the Name should be related with the place it is in.
Maia is System of the Pleiades Nebula and contain a Black Hole.

John Wheeler has established Black Hole for the phenomena. So it also Could be Wheeler Orbital or something.
Singularity would be a nice name, or Event Horizon. Or something with Schwarzschild.

Something associated with Nebula or the Pleiades could also be a nice name.

Obsidian Orbital is not bad either, as he had made the idea of a station there popular or even possible by asking Frontier about it,
but i would like to see a more generic name, somewhat distanced from the community or it's members.

I will also admit to a certain bias here. There is this tiny part of me that wants the station to become the focus of the first sustained attack by the Thargoids, as they try to snuff out our shining beacon, our lonely station set among the clouds of the Pleiades Nebula, so alone and so vulnerable, with only the commanders of the Pilot's Federation to defend it...

And however that turns out... don't you want to be able to say...

"Yes, I was there. I fought at the Battle of the Obsidian Gate."

Serious hat on now: I actually really like that, +1 for it too. There is a band by the same name, we should have this playing in the station.

+1 for Obsidian Orbital ... and I do like the idea of an Ob-Ant voice-over however I suspect that all stations all use the same sound files and making a separate one for a single station might be too much trouble and might have to wait for a client side patch.

I also like the idea of Rares & Faction names for the other top promoters of this fine endeavour.
How about a badge for your ship that is only available or equip-able from this station? and other tourism fluff for the outer reaches of occupied space.
