Near Orion spur report

Just returned from a short trip down the Orion spur, mostly in the wregoe sector. I headed north and anti-spinward. I had planned a 1000 LY trip, but ended up going about 1300 LY. I fell prey to the 'just one more jump' bug. The region is perfect for learning exploration. The stars are mostly M and K, with some G and a few F, so fueling is not an issue. There are tons of high metal content planets and a good number of interesting life bearing giants. There are very nice multi star systems with very close orbits, so it can also be visually quite stunning. There are plenty of uncharted systems. In fact, it took me longer than planned to return to the bubble because I kept running into them, even as close as 500 LY out.

Special thanks to CMDR usrlocal who RVed with me one jump away from Candin and escorted my unarmed, unshielded Sidewinder into Galvani Enterprise. It feels good to be back, but only long enough to outfit a T6 explorer and head back out. This time, the plan is to head down the spur about 5000 LY.

The first earthlike I have seen. This one was tagged already.

I feel like this one should be set to the score of Space 1999 season 1

The Orion Spur is more beautiful than a lot of far galactic explorers might admit. I kind of miss it. You can see a lot of interesting and familiar nebulae in the distance. I . . . miss it. You have some nice shots here. Keep exploring!
