Neutron Star clusterclose to Sag A

Aloha forums

First time posting on here, but no matter. Not too long ago I stopped by Sag A to get my first scan of it. On my way there, however, I encountered a surprisingly low amount of valuable worlds, earth-like, water, etc. I started to look around to try and find the closest possible Neutron Star cluster to Sag A to maximize credits on this long journey, and find one I did. Figured I would just pop on the forums and let everyone know so you guys can make a few extra creds before you head back to civilized space.

From what I can tell, PHROI PRI TD-A D1-5943 is a great place to star. At only about 700LY from Sag A, it's just 30 minutes of jumping away! The Neutron Stars in this region are spaced about 10-15LY apart. Still not an efficient range to make creds quick.

So, from there head further below the galactic plane towards PHROI PRI ZZ-X D1-2322. The NS here will begin to grow in density. But wait, there's more!

Finally, head on over in the direction of PHROI PRI IR-W E1-731. You've made it! At roughly 1200LY from Sag A, the NS, BH, and WD in this area range from 1-8LY apart from one another in a swath a few thousand LY long. I've been here for a week or so, and from what I can gather, I'm the first to have come here.

If you jump into a NS system, scan the NS while plotting your next jump, I estimate you can scan roughly 45-50 NS per hour. Since you will likely be the first to scan them, you'll be looking at roughly 57k creds per scan (that's with the 50% first scan bonus), or 2.85million creds per hour.

I plan on being here for another week or two, and will have an estimated 200mil in NS scans alone! So get scanning fellow Explorers.

If this post was redundant, I apologize. Sharing info is caring.

I forgot to add. I'm using a Diamondback Explorer with an additional 8ton capacity fuel tank. I estimate I can scan roughly 300 NS on a single tank of gas. That's hours of jumping without refueling!

Neutron star farming is quite well known, and there's so many of them it is possible to scan them until you're sick without finding one that's already been scanned. I tend to loose interest after doing a few hundred or so though... I haven't looked up those locations but certainly there are some known belts near the core region.

My dear friend CMDR Kancro Vantas ironed out everything regarding neutron fields in the Definitive Guide.
The best thing of his guide is that it describes everything you can find in there, not only the NS.
And beeing a skeptic one, I double checked all CMDR Vantas findings and cannot say nothing but I can confirm everything he wrote.

The sticky lists of this subforum contain a pletora of information, worth a look on every of them!

Ahhh fantastic. Thank you for that link. I guess I didn't realize how many people play this game. All for the better I suppose :)
