New 2024 Livestream series!

Hi All :)

not at all. I just don't want to use X and prefer to use the official forums instead. I ended my twitter account some time ago for reasons which I should not need to justify here

I don't do X or Farcebook, so rely on others to post useful extracts that enable me to know without having to look myself...

Ditto, I've never used either personally. :)
It's logical (to my way of thinking) if there's any official news about updates or other game related announcements that are fairly important then these forums should be the first port of call for players to look for that information. In the first instance that news and or information should be displayed here first, the other sites (imho) should be of a secondary nature.
Other people can of course disagree with that, that is an option of choice and their prerogative. What does irk me though is when it's hinted that I must be lacking in some way because I don't follow the perceived 'modern trend' of 'social media'.

They announced it on X days ago - as usual. And the usual suspects have failed to work that out the way they have for the last 10 months. I'm amazed they manage to find this website ;)

I find that fairly easy to accomplish, I look on the Frontier Games Forums Website, and select whatever pertinent information I require from the various Forums displayed.
I have an account with Frontier which allows me to post on the forums, buy game related software or merchandise and I should be able to find any information on past, current or possibly future content for the games I'm particularly interested in.
I personally can't understand why I should need to create another account with another 'social media' website to obtain information about the very same game I'm trying to find out information for on these Forums. 🤷‍♂️
Oh, I do understand some of the reasons why some other website might want me to create an account with them though.
As for 'X', the only 'X' I know (or care about) in a social media games sense is perhaps the 'X' games by Egosoft, but I can't for the life of me see how that games Forum is going to provide me with up to date and current information about Frontiers Games.

Anyhow, just over an hour to go for this months livestream...hopefully...😁

Jack :)

EXACTLY (y)
Other social media sites should be totally SECONDARY - I don't use X(formerly known as Twits) or FB

I fear for Colonia...
A PP2 expansion chain requires either a 20LY range (and one step per two weeks) or a 30LY range (and one step per three weeks). Either way the process goes about 10LY a week at maximum speed, so would take over 2200 weeks (42 years) to reach Colonia even if they can keep a rolling colonisation programme to also build the systems to chain to just ahead of that.

I'm not worried right now, let's say...

Still faster than the Thargoids would have overtaken the Bubble. Though I don't think we will be needing to build an exodus corridor... (probably)

This reminds me how my squadron had some plans for the possibility of colonizing a distant area of space closer to the galactic core (not where the Azura initiative is/was)... maybe some of them might be interested in swinging back around for this.

This game gets more and more away from this sci-fi thematic. Also, my favorite Sci-Fi film. Along with Outland and Alien (before Scott's meddling), the mood I had for Elite Dangerous.

And, so much for the rumored denser atmosphere/weather effects. Or NPC crew on the cockpit (a desire of mine). Guess they really stop to meddle with the graphics department. One year waiting for this. Share holders are loving it.

Not to mention 4 more weeks for the type-8 to be available for the little people like myself.

Instead of just making new ships better and better stat-wise so they can sell their packages (not a bad strategy for making the game alive though, of course), how about giving some loving tweaks to the old little and medium ships? So they'll be more viable to accompany the new ones and the old meta. What's the point of buying kits for them if it's better to save for the end-metaships?

I was really hoping for a medium Saud Kruger, that I could use to travel far and do more exploring stuff for my passengers.

But... A new Cobra is always a new Cobra. The design is beautifull. And of course it's going to be overhall better than the last new ones, to keep following the trend like many other online games.
