Horizons New Audio menu

The new Audio menu is pretty great. Particularly the mute buttons. Nice!


I wish Sound Effects volume would not lower Wave Scanner volume as well - it has it's own slider (which is nice - but this way, it only works to fade out the wave scanner, not get it more pronounced)!

You can do what I did....Go through and lower all the other sliders and leave the weaker outputs at max. I have managed to get all my sounds balanced nicely with everything being at the perfect volumes respective to each other.

It takes a little time to dial it in, but its worth it.

Well, I tend to think I know how to use the sliders - the wave scanner won't get louder than other sfx, still.

wave scanner would be a handy tool if the engineers of the future could figure out how to implement noise cancelling headsets to kill some of the excessive SRV motor noise.
Some of us have hearing issues and the excessive "Sound Effects" are drowning out important sounds with no means to adjust the important ones.
