New Bounty in ANARCHY System?!

So I'm floating around the anarchy powerplay system of Wirnako, blowing up powerplay ships to rank up Li Yong Rui to 5. I go to my transaction screen and gaze with satisfaction on my 7000 merits...getting close....when I notice something odd under bounties...a 2.3 million credit bounty with Archon DeLane. Ummmmm....so we can't attack ships in anarchy systems any longer?! What's going on here, is it a bug?

Welllll....crap. Ok thanks - guess I missed that part of the patch notes. That seems an awefully steep price for attacking enemy powerplay ships. How do I get rid of it? I am doing it in a cutter...

7000 merits (props!) is an obvious indicator that you succeeded in scoring a very high number of kills. So under the new C&P the size of the bounty isnt too surprising. Ive worked up a couple six figure ones on a couple of my ships. But, as was mentioned, power play bounties are only applicable to power players; they don't give you wanted status (from what Ive seen) and Ive only occasionly been interdicted by ships from the power play faction I attacked (all NPC, I only play in solo.) Not sure how power bounties show up on KWS in open....but I wouldnt worry about it too much. I was worried about the effect Beyond's new CP system was going to affect undermining but so far I havent run into any serious complications.

I'm displeased with this too. Shooting some wanted ships shouldn't cause player to gain bounties, even if they weren't real bounties. Are they real? I don't know. Maybe Frontier should rename them to Trophy Points or something, and change the law enforcement icon to something else. Like a small icon of angry Archon Delaine, so you know you've got some beef with him, like 200 points worth of beef or something.

Yeah, maybe a different name for them to make it clear.
That another Power has put a price on your head, but it isn't a criminal bounty, even if a bounty actually is the right word

Shooting any ship allied with any faction or power should put some price on your head from someone.

I finished my massacring of powerplay ships. 10k merits, and a 3.5 million credit powerplay bounty with Archon. I used the old "nav method" which still appears to be the fastest (drop out at the nav beacon, fly about 20k out in normal space, log in and out killing the powerplay ships)

His ships are now attacking me on sight - "for all the ships you've killed, you're going down!" and other similar messages now when a Kumo ship scans me. Oh well, it was way more interesting than transporting stuff!

Overall I have to say I'm displeased with this change though. Anarchy systems should be a free-for-all, lord of the flies, post-apocalyptic place - getting a bounty (even powerplay) doesn't make a lot of sense IMO. Oh well. Paying them off now...

Not the same thing... but I did received some bounties rewards for some kills in Robigo the other night.

It said "lawless" or whatever, but still got bounties on a few kills... no kill warrant scanner or PP either... seemed odd in an Anarchy system.

I agree.

This seems more like a lack of feedback issue. Seems fine that other powers put bounties on you for destroying Thier stuff.

But you shouldn't have been surprised to see it, you should have had some kind of feedback when you shot the first ship informing you of the other power play factions annoyance, and decision to mark you for death to its members.
