Newcomer / Intro New CMDR, with a question!

Hi there!

New CMDR here! I am loving the game so far, and finally have just reached the Cobra after a very long time spent with the Adder!

I have a few question though!

I have been interdicted in a system while jumping around with my FSD (exploring, yay!). I killed the aggressor off, and received a voucher of ~3000Cr. However, I cannot seem to locate the system via the Transactions panel, as I was desperately looking for a populated system to refuel in!

I just made this account, so I can't even post a hyperlink to the image, nor directly upload it. But this is what it says under the "Transactions" tab, appearing as a Bounty Claim:

"3,095 CR BOUNTY IN SWARM"

Do any of you have an idea where the system is?

Look in your LEFT PANEL under Transactions.

It will say something like 3000 CR with Empire/Alliance/Federation

Simply go to any station aligned with that faction, select CONTACTS and it will be the second on the list for Security Contacts I believe.

That is who you get the voucher cashed into.

If you are currently FED space, then it is more than likely you need a FED aligned station to cash in at.

Welcome to the Game Commander!

If actually says IN SWARM, go to your GALAXY map, Second Tab (Navigation) and type in SWARM in the search box. That will tell you where to go.

Depends if swarm is a location (system, station) or a sub/independent faction. Afaik there isn't a catalogue of factions/companies or their locations (although if I am wrong please tell me, i have about 14 bounties owing to me from non-major factions through exploring as well, and the clutter on my transactions tab is annoying)

Thanks for the reply I actually checked both of your suggestions. I can't seem to go into any further detail on the transaction, nor find any additional information on it. I can finally attach images, and here it is:

Moreover, I've also attempted to type in both "SWARM" and "IN SWARM" in the Navigation panel of the Galaxy Map. No results!

I've already been jumping from system to system, and have lost track of where I was interdicted! :( Is there any way to figure this out, or even remove it? I suppose crashing my ship into a wall would be a solution haha!

I am not even that new and just got a bounty in an Anarchy that I can't find. I know it's a larger faction (Jet something Co) but searched all the nearby systems and couldn't find them. Is there a list of known factions?

Hi rebelracer88,

I've tried that, and it doesn't do anything :(

I believe people have mentioned it as a faction thing. I may have to manually find the faction, or .. maybe they could implement a search function for factions - especially in independent systems. Maybe? :)

It's most likely a sub-faction within the system you killed the wanted NPC in. If you lost track of where it was, you're out of luck :(

This happened to me with a 29k bounty, and I was pretty livid for a few when I realized I'd left the system where I got the bounty and had no idea where to turn it in. Was also concerned about it cluttering my transactions, until I was forced to self-destruct (long story) - no more clutter! :rolleyes:

OK...found an answer for you by sheer luck and coincidence.

SWARM is likely the name for a ruling faction in a System, as I was just interdicted by some schlub, who after killing him I was granted a 15k Cr Bounty Credit in Purple Fortune Incorporated, which just happens to be the Ruling faction for the GD 219 System.

Doesn't get you much more info on where to go, but at least you have a little more info.

Thank you Neon Knight! And thank you everyone else! :p I appreciate all the help :) I hope they eventually implement some form of faction-search!

Check in the system map in the system where you got the bounty voucher, clicking on the stations gives you information on which sub faction runs it and who they are aligned with, eg

Station run by: pirates of Penzance
Allegiance: federation

Something like that.

You can cash the vouchers at the corresponding station :)

I got a lot of vouchers for 'blue travel commodities' faction, as my hunting grounds were in their space, yet only 1 station in the system would accept them, out of I think 4, as each was run by a different sub faction
