Welcome to this community Bruce, be prepared to face polemic whiners! (I'm one of them )Greetings Commanders!
I’m Bruce and I’ve joined the Elite Dangerous team as a Community Manager. Previously, I was a CM for Old School RuneScape (a medieval point-and-click MMO), and I’m excited to meet and interact with a whole new community. If you’d like, join this Thursday’s livestream to come and say hello!
I play all sorts of games in my free time with story-rich RPGs being my favourite. I usually have one of those on the go plus something more casual to even things out. I can’t wait to immerse myself in Elite Dangerous, and start exploring the galaxy. SRV racing looks amazing.
I’m looking forward to getting to know all of you over the coming weeks and I’ll happily respond to and questions here or on Twitter and Discord (Gambit#7472).

If you want to win over PS4 cmdrs (yes we do exist), can you check with management how progress on bringing the Cobra MK4 to our platform is going along please?... I'll be playing in my free time and engaging on Discord plus everything else I can do to win you over.
I'll do my best to be active on as many ED channels as possible, including the forums!Welcome to this community Bruce, be prepared to face polemic whiners! (I'm one of them )
1st polemic whine from me: will you reply in the forum to players on a constant basis or has your boss already locked your keyboard in the cupboard like for the other CM's?
I hope that you will take note of the fact that many members of this community are in older age brackets and some of us eschew Tw@tter, HeadLeaflet, etc. F D these days tend to neglect communication via the forum in my opinion and that is a shame.I'll do my best to be active on as many ED channels as possible, including the forums!
Isn't it also valid to have a new CM come in and have the learning experience that new players go through? I mean, seriously, the person gets paid to play the game to learn it so as to be effective in their job of relating to the customers - what's not to like about that? At least they come in without existing preferences and peeves about the game, they get to find those as they learn. This is cool and good and all, but maybe a CM that knows how to play the game would be better for livestreams than someone who hasnt played before?
