I see the zipper ride as okay, because I see PC as a amusement park than theme park.

Actually, that version of 'the zipper' is a new model being developed for use in theme parks. Not sure how you would radically 'theme' such a ride, but I'm sure they will find a way (in real life at least)!

I think it's a great model of the Zipper! They did great in RCT3 with it also. I'm looking forward to seeing the animation though.

As far as theme park/fair relevance, it's not often found in theme parks, but as stated before, you'll see it in a lot of the amusement parks in the US.

Which model?
Do you have a link? I can only find the updated classic model:

As a ride, it's not the sort of thing that I get excited by in real life... But the quality of the model is amazing. If you compare it to a real zipper, it's as perfect as it needs to be!

also loving the fact that I am see each individual light bulb.

The only problem this game has with sharing content like this now is that we've seen so much amazing stuff that we're now immune to it. If this ride was shown as an RCTW ride the fans over there would wet themselves!! But over here, whatever... We all already know to expect high quality!

I guess the truth is... We need another dev diary video to get really excited ;)

The thing that sucks is that it takes every 1/4 of a year to release a new dev diary :( hopefully the 3rd one has lots of gameplay footage omg :D

If this ride was shown as an RCTW ride, it would have been in a video. And it would've spun the wrong way.

Spinning the wrong way!? What if it still spun the wrong way in the final game!?

Loving the PC Zipper model, the attention to detail with the lightbulbs, supports, heck even the crosshatched wire screens, it's all incredible! I've only ridden one a few times, but seen them active at carnivals and festivals many times more. Id love to see more carnival styled thrill rides available in PC, they always test the riders limits more so than most regular theme park rides.

Here are some vids of the new Zipper open-cage/restraint design...

The prototype testing - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6v2F6CTfHOc

Open seat graphic, which Planet Coaster looks like they got their cue from - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Okhvs-50S8

So great that Frontier are this savvy... blows me away! I love the idea of the alternate Zipper design because I love the movement and forces on the ride, but often don't want to face the challenge of avoiding head injury. Although if I'm in a certain mood, this is also enjoyable!

Ohhh. Thanks. That's good to know.
however, the ride still looks cheap (in general.) It's not something I could see myself actually using in game because I am not interested in building a fairground/traveling carnival. [sad]
