Looks far, far better. Excellent
In your opinion. I'll stand by comment. No, definitely not. Still far too white.
I think it's far more realistic than the muddy brown previously. The lighting itself looks great, but what I don't get is why did they make the galaxy background blue? I get that they based it off of real world images but it doesn't even look like that irl.
I replied to this question in the other thread. It looks quite blue from space. The lighting itself looks great, but what I don't get is why did they make the galaxy background blue? I get that they based it off of real world images but it doesn't even look like that irl.
Yeah, I noticed that for yellow/orange stars the change in lighting is significantly subtler, if not identical. The changes are great for blue stars and brown dwarfs, all the other star classes were sadly left out of this lighting upgrade...
Blue is the new brown.
What? I have never noticed the system's star having any kind of effect on the skybox.Nooooo... They restored the horrible background tinting to its full horror it seems... Damn!
The Skybox is tinted by the light of the main star of a system (Milky Way, nebulars, even starts... everything). I was under the impression, it's gotten at least better, and was hoping, this update would fix it. But it seems it didn't.
So far I was really looking forward to the lighting changes and the more realistic galaxy. Now I fear I'm not anymore. We'll see how things look on my screen later.
