I think we're all missing something. I think we've all read the article and immediately jumped on Frontier doing a film franchise. I know I did. But that is not what the article says. The article says it will be "
based on an enduring film franchise of global reknown". It isn't saying that Frontier are doing a film franchise, but their next IP is based on a film franchise. That's the same as saying they aren't doing a Jurassic Park game, but are actually doing a game with dinosaurs in it. (if it's based on Jurassic Park).
Remember, Frontier's new philosophy is to 100% own their products, and have creative control, not make something for someone else and be dictated to.
