General / Off-Topic New movie based FD game in development... guess the franchise!

i mentioned it on the other thread re this.

The three DLC packs released on planet coaster are all from Universal studios franchises , namely Back to the future, Knightrider, and the Munsters.

The two biggest, long standing Universal film franchises are The Bourne films and the Jurassic Park films.
Jurassic World 2 is launching in 2018.
The 3rd Elite franchise is launching in 2018

Do the maths!

It's the Bourne series.
As you say, it's a Universal Studios film, releasing in 2018.
But you haven't considered: It's not got a game for it yet (Jurassic park has either now or in the past) and it can use work on The Outsider as it's near identical in story.

And if it is Bourne ... I called it first :p

EDIT2: Ok "called it" is a stretch .... :p

I agree with you on JP, simplay because FD have stated that they would eventually like "big game hunting" in a future update for Elite.

What better "big game" to test things on than a Tyrannosaurus Rex?

Thomas The Road Warrior

Definitely going to be Smokey and the Bandit.

Goodness, I'd love to see that! But Michael Brooks dashed my hopes in another thread when he said it wasn't going to be this...:(

My best guess is Frontier are going to do the game version of Ready Player One. It's a film of a popular book. It's not had a game made of it yet. And Frontier love their sci-fi.

I am currently reading Ready Player One, and given the DLC for Planet Coaster and Micheal's obsession with Thomas The Tank Engine ... I'm even more convinced now.

Like I and many others have been saying, Jurassic Theme Park. The rights to Jurassic Park just happen to be owned by Universal Studios.

Please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please be Jurassic Park!

But not a stupid FPS dakka dakka Vs dinosaurs. Lol

Blade Runner is coming out? I could trust Frontier Developments to do a game worthy of the Westwood Studios game.

Something similar to Fallout 4's Nick Valentine would be brilliant, especially in VR

The maths would be that they slap The Bourne name on to the completed The Outsider game. At the time The Outsider was in development it was suggest that the game could be re-title to a Bourne or James Bond movie.
