New Paintjobs

I have no desire for paying real money for Arx, but I do it regardless:(
I did before Frontier yanked IIs and CGs from the game. As I wrote above, what's the point in buying clothes when there are no social events to dress up for?

I guess, but I buy paints to marvel at them in camera mode while I'm commuting in SC or sitting in a station... showing them off to others is a mere side activity for me;)

What do I look like, Yamiks or Obsidian Ant or Drew Wagar? If I throw a party, just one person will show up. Bring back CGs! It's the best way to increase Arx sales.
Especially those that reward decals and stuff. But yes agree I sorely miss them (after ignoring them in the past because they're generally poor earners), who'd have thunk it!

This is unrelated but I bought Drew's first book... and I gotta say... I honestly don't know how that thing got greenlit. It's pretty good so far but... it starts off super morbid and people use the f word. I was shocked.

My wife lived in England for a season, and according to her, the f-bomb carries less "weight" there than in America. Though even here its use is becoming excessive. Angry Joe, who makes his living carpet-bombing the Fs throughout his videos, joins many in being incensed that even Star Trek is dropping F-bombs willy-nilly these days, something unheard of in TOS and TNG and completely out of character.

But this is off-topic.

I picked up this stygian bottle green paint for Adder during last sale.

It's not so much that it was shocking, but that it's so at odds with Frontier's sort of positioning everywhere else. I know that Space Trading Game universes tend towards the dystopian but I would never expected Elite or anything made by Frontier to front that kind of dark. I'm also kind of surprised that the book has gone on for many pages now and I ain't seen a Cobra yet. It's pretty interesting so far though. It's made me keen on more Elite books.

And on Picard I also have a gripe or two with the show. Everything tries to be edgy now. I didn't really like it when I saw it either. The old shows were so reserved. They were very dignified. What happened to Roddenberry's idyllic future?

I also don't really like Stewart's Picard either. It seems devoid of the strength, the quiet power that he used to exude. It's just too sweet old man for me. Even when he's angry... I dunno it just seems off. I dunno if he forgot the character along the way or they're writing him this way so he can come into his own later or if it's just ageism on my part or what. It doesn't feel like Picard to me though.
