New scan tuning

Hi
I know I'm probably missing something real simple but I'm trying to get to grips with the new FSS mode. I can locate and zoom into known bodies but need to 'tune' into undiscovered ones. I go to my keybinds and have done them for everything except the 'tuning' and 'absolute tuning'. When I click to bind something it says 'move axis for' and can't bind anything.
What am I missing?
Using keyboard and mouse on PC
Thanks

Wow. Such a helpful and friendly reply.
As I said it is probably something simple I have missed. I didn't say I was trying to adjust it with one key.

Like flight controls there's two places to bind tuning - one if you are assigning a controller axis and the other if you are assigning up/down buttons. Sounds like you're attempting to assign the axis when you want to assign keypresses.

Both 'tuning' and 'abolut tuning' are for an axis, like a joystick/throttle or whatever. If you just have kb+m then you can't use these.
I think the lines just above should be 'tune up' and 'tune down' where you can assign a simple keypress. Thats not as comfortable but works without an anolog controll axis.

You can assign two keys for tune up and tune down, which is a step by step tuning.

Thanks guys. I had already indeed bound the keypress ones. Just wasn't using it correctly.

I had to fiddle around a bit to get my chosen "tuning" keys mapped to the right slots. Now I use A to go <- and D to go -> Works for me. Also, I've really upped the sensitivity of the mouse so it doesn't now crawl along the orbital plane while in the FSS mode, it fair zips along now.
