New Scenario Confusion

I was hoping to get a few more Stars, so I decided to take a look at the new scenarios. I am a bit confused by what I am supposed to do. I think I have enough land for the Gold Star rating, which you get from placing three rides and a coaster. However, I am not exactly sure about the Go-Kart tasks for the Bronze and Silver stars. Is it as simple as placing track by the pieces already in the scenario?

That is a bit confusing isn't it?
All of the track that is in the park when you start is actually considered as one track. it has a small complete circuit, but there are parts broken up through the map. I closed and edited the original track. Made the small circuit longer by getting rid of the underground tunnel and connecting the unused track (at the landslide just before the tunnel) that runs through the town. Extending the uphill bridge to the top of the plateau, and connected back to the finish. The terrain guides how the devs suggest its made.
I deleted all of the track that was on the other side of the map going around the lighthouse. then reopened the rebuilt longer circuit. After that I just built a 500 meter track somewhere else on the map and that completed the objective.

I find it odd that there are locked buildings on this map that have no doors or windows. Just a box that is in your way. This scenario feels rushed and not completed before 1.2 release.

After Easter dinner, I decided to try to get at least the Gold Star. Is there a fan guide somewhere that lays out coaster statistics/length?

I tried connecting some of the Go-Kart pieces, but I keep running into uneven terrain. I remember in past scenarios, it was locked, is it different here?

I've had no trouble editing terrain, it doesn't seem to be locked -- but there are a lot of scenery rocks in the way that need to be moved or deleted.

Ditto'ng this big-time -- very frustrating, it's a lovely park otherwise. Somebody put a lot of love into setting it up.

i guess you talk about the first of the 3 new scenarios - the one with the working Go-Kart track and the Monte Carlo adapted scenario. imho the best looking map of all career maps so far. i love what the designer(s) have created here.

I've managed all stars this way:
- I've added some cams around the active pathways, and let 4 security guys guard these areas by using the existing rosters - 2 guards walked the path left and right of the kart entry, the other 2 left and right of the exit.
- Added some more seats and bins
- closed unprofitable shops like Street Fox Coffee and Donuts. My visitors dislike them big time, no idea why.
- then I've build the available Luna Auto track ride directly behind and on top of the kart exit - letting the track run around some buildings -> 100% entrance scenario and high track scenario for free :). 16$ and visitors still happy about a cheap ride, lol
- didn't have to wait long to have some good profit out of Luna Autos and I've build the next visitor milking machine - Rolling River. I've used a gap between 2 buildings on the right way (coming from park entrance) to draw my entry queue path. again the existing scenario helped to give a good queue scenario rating without building anything. The Rolling River was quite short : Up the hill on this right side, direction to the houses on that hill, then some extended slightly angled curves (using incremental piece) with torrential water (anyone else wondering why these pieces are cheaper than the quieter ones??) and 2 short drops (final costs around 8000$) back of the line of houses I've talked of. No further ride scenario was added by me when opening it and still visitors had no worries to spent 20$ for the fun.

after opening rolling river i just had to wait for the profit start to roll. you can now complete all open tasks without stress.

If your still trying to figure this out I suggest placing thrill rides first. You will need lots of $ to finish track. Close the track. Delete the sections in the cave. Follow the lighter paths the devs made this pretty much tells you where the new sections need to go. You will have to edit/delete the landslide areas. After going around the light house, reconnect the track by the tire bridge. Then just make a 2nd track somewhere else. If you still need help, there are several videos available. It was a challenge, but its fun!
