New ship: Panther Clipper

Honestly theyre pretty smart to hold the cards close to their chest. Theyre probably reading our speculations and adjusting to ensure maximum arx sales. WELL HEAR THIS DEVS: WE SHANT SPEND ANOTHER PENCE LEST YE MAKE THE YIELD NO LESS THAN 2,500 TONNES. (gotta high-ball em a little bit.)
8E thrusters allow a maximum mass of 3,360 tons. Assuming that the whole ship plus modules won't be built of Anacondium, you may reduce your expectations ;)

The Beluga might want to have a word with you. Edit: View wise. The best cockpit is, objectively, the Viper cockpit of course, closely followed by the Mamba / Mandalay.
The big ship greenhouse cockpits give me mild VR agoraphobia they’re that big 😁

Best cockpit for my goggle-eyes is the Cobra MkV, in my objectively subjective correct opinion.

I hope the Panther has a new bridge and isn’t yet another repurposed model.

I also expect 1000 tons, hoping for that with a decent shield.

As far as obsoleting ships, the T-9/T-10 will be obsolete, day one. I say that because I anticipate the PC will be armed similar to the T10, run in the mid 300's and carry more than both of them, maybe even combined. The only way that the T-9 remains viable is if the PC is both slower and less manueverable.

The cutter on the other hand will likely be more heavily armed and faster so it will always have a niche role to fill

My 2 cents for what it's worth... Which ain't much since they don't make them from copper anymore!
1000 tons would be so disappointing

That isn't a fully rigid limit - you can also (in theory, at least) design a T-9 which, when fully loaded, would exceed the maximum mass for its 7E thrusters. If I would make some totally unwarranted assumptions based on the mass of the iCutter and the size 8 thrusters, then the PC could come in at ~4000 tons fully loaded with ~2500 tons of cargo space. And, of course, make the iCutter's flight profile look like an italian sports car in comparison.

Speaking of Anacondium, they can make a Triconda, or Triconderoga or something...

Look at Anaconda on the pad - elegant, thin and pointy. Slap two more front parts into trimaran form (with just a bit wider central backside to accommodate them), voila Triconderoga with 3K and insane jump range :)

Yes, if allowing three core modules per Triconda ;) On the other hand this approach may bring us back the outlandish ships from FFE.

A quick Paint doodle from work: backside can be beefier too, double the engines. All will fit oh so fine through the mail slot and on the large pad.
And made of anacondium... fantastic. Triconda.

...or 3Konda :)

Dude, I just want an upgrade from the Cutter as a mining ship. Give me cargo space and lots of Optional internals for a crap ton of limpet collectors 🤪

I do not know about you guys but all I want is information on the ship. Didn't they say they would release more info 2 months ago and haven't. Great we see artwork, consoles and the ship itself in space, but people were told they would be told about internals etc. Looks like yet another let down on a ship they said we would have 9 years ago.

Why? You'll get the info in a livestream probably.

They only announced it on 30th April livestream. The next livestream was on Vanguards, so I would imagine more info will come in the next livestream at the earliest.

Great we see artwork, consoles and the ship itself in space, but people were told they would be told about internals etc.
You think we won't be told about the internals etc?

Looks like yet another let down on a ship they said we would have 9 years ago.
Good grief.
