New ship teaser out:

By contrast, the 'vette can actually sort of dogfight, which I prefer to relying on weapons with a huge alpha strike.
When you can successfully dogfight with Vultures and FdLs, in a 'vette, you know it's got something going for it. (y)
I can easily take out a Kestrel Mk2 in a Cutter; the key is moving correctly.

I was surprised too; I don't remember exactly, but I'm pretty sure the Titans were already gone by the time Cobra 5 came out.
I distinctly remember the Cobra Mk V being used to attack Cocijo.

The timing was really close, though: Cocijo invaded Sol in December 5 of 2024, the Cobra Mk V was release on early access on December 12 of 2024, and Cocijo was finally defeated on the 18 of December. So the Cobra Mk V was used for 6 of its last days to attack it.

A slight detour: what ships have you used in the war?

Chieftain & Krait Mk II for AX combat
Cobra V for Titan bombing
Cutter for evacuation

You?
Anaconda with AXMCs against Scouts.
Unshielded Krait II for ground AX zones.
Unshielded FAS for Titan bombing.

At various times I tried T10 builds since FD said that was its purpose, but I found it could never survive getting into trouble.

Krait Mk II for Titan bombing
Mod Shardaconda for Interceptors
Krait Mk II AXMC for Cyclops and Scouts
Corvette with God/Modshards and AXMC for "Thargoid-Multirole"

Had so much fun with station defense in the Krait and the Corvette! Best combat experience in Elite...

I'm not speculating on what it will be, but I'll say I'd like it to be sort of SRV carrier for squadrons. Something capable of carrying SRVs for say 10 commanders. Allowing them to deploy them straight off the ramp. It would act as a FOB for ground conflicts, with all the support features, recharge, resupply, rearm for commanders on foot.

This can already be done? Just put 4x size 6 hangars in an anaconda and you've got 16 SRVs.

What I'm imagining is a team in the hangar Bay on foot when the ship sets down and the doors open. It would allow for each commander to bring their SRV along, not one owned by someone else.

Once on the ground the ship becomes a mobile command hub, with a bubble shield, and point defense system. It would have a unified respawn point for all the team members. It would act as a place to store hacked data, salvage or anything else the team collected. It wouldn't be an ultimate fortress, it'd need to be defended against enemy combatants, but it would give a central location for a team to work from.
