It's a subjective discussion but everyone feels the need to voice their opinions on everything which is why you get drivel threads like this on a regular almost hourly basis.

To be honest? I thought it was cool once. Because I was docked in a station, so it looked cool that the game showed me my starship in position.

It was considerably less cool when I was landed on a planet, and got to see the exact same ship in the exact same hangar.

I can't say I'm keen on the way the old menu-background flashes up momentarily.

The fact that it still exists and is, apparently, "underneath" the new menu reeks of "bodge".

I can honestly say I have never seen that happen.

Overall I think I prefer the new menu, though the font is a bit heavy.

I don’t think I have noticed that either but if that is what Stealthie was referring to I wouldn’t describe it as the old menu.

To be honest I rarely study the loading screens intently nowadays.

No, I mean the old main-menu screen, with a planet-surface, an SRV and a station in orbit.

Menu didnt drastically change in VR. I still have time to contemplate half of my Asp Scout levitate, then painfully deploy the landing gear for ten seconds while clipping through the doors.

Devil is in the details I guess.

It stuns me how there are so many issues with the game...

...but developers find time to make the new title menu and screw on with UI.

The font and size is terrible. It's so in-congruent with the rest of the game.

Just play the previous version of the game then...
