New worst job in the Galaxy

Don't tell me, you transferred in an Asp Scout, didn't you? ;)

Collecting stuff for engineers is the worst job in the universe. You have to pay for it and work at it during your spare time and it's nowhere close bein saisfying. Au contraire - is one of the frusrating things I am sure I can live without.

Not that the NPC mission givers have a better time

My brother is trapped down a well, in an abandoned settlement, with only hours to live. I can offer you 3 Evacuation Protocols - that's all I have! Look, I would offer you a few Power Regulators but I'm not allowed. Where are you going! My brother!

I believe one of the rules mentioned in Evacuation Protocols is "Do not hide in a well when settlement is evacuated". You have 3 of those you say? Is one your brother's copy?

Working at the bar is worse

Oh look, here's someone - maybe I can make them a cocktail, or offload some of that overpriced champagne on them, or just sell them a round for the crew. What's that ... you want to sell me some Duty Rotas and Meeting Minutes? .. why sure, just a moment ...
Trying to order at the bar is even worse.

" I've been stuck in that cockpit for hours, interdicted twice and sat waiting for that muppet in the Keelback to free up the one medium landing spot on this godforsaken outpost for so long my tongue has stuck to the roof of my mouth. I finally make my way past all the bloody pizza boxes on the floor only to find you wont serve me a flipping drink?"

"No I don't want to sell you that Degraded Power Regulator that I've got in my back pocket, or that Californium in my pouch, and no you can't have the other 998 items in my tiny backpack that I'm not currently wearing. I just want one of those fancy cocktails and maybe a bag of those caterpillar things I see on all the posters. Now can you please point me towards the bathroom."

Or you could be generic seated NPC #6. You can't stand up and move, you can't be interacted with, you can't respond to certain player emotes, you just have a 20 second animation cycle to work through day after day after day.

I don't know, the one that walk around get awfully indignant when you bump into them... Guess they get frustrated walking the same route all day long!

I'm frustrated that I can't buy the cute ones a drink at the bar and take them back to the privacy of my ship... Except that the pilots chair is awfully exposed for such antics.

I dream of the day when I will be able to go to my cabin!

Flight Control at the big starports must be a hot contender. CMDRs ignore anything you say about speed limits first chance they get, and the rest of the day you're stuck with Cpt. Dingus in their stock Cobra over here, trying to patiently explain (again) that they need to push that big shiny lever in front of them if they want to go vroom vroom past the toast rack.

And that's just on a normal day. On the day you quit it wasn't Dingus but <annoying youtuber> going 'LOL spaceship' over the intercom while playing with his flight stick.
