No Path to Destination

Please if anybody else besides me is having trouble putting there animals into quarantine and it says (No Path to Destination) please please please please find someway to send your saved game to Frontier because I’ve tried everything and nothing seems to be working

You know that comment is not going to solve anything.
Sadly, Britches won't be able to provide a save-game with the same problem as you.
Seeing it's a rare bug/problem: the ball is in your court. (you want your problem solved)

1. Tobs' first option: Uploading your zoo to the workshop.
The section that's important in that video starts at 1:36 and ends on 1:50
  • tells you to click on "My Zoos" on your PZ main menu screen.
  • Move your cursor over to the file of "name of your bugged zoo" and click "upload to workshop"
  • Next screen, click on the "+" icon (not in video)
  • Next screen, fill in a random title and click the green button "create workshop item" (not in video)
  • Post the url for this workshop item on this forum
>What didn't work in those steps?

You were unable to try his second option, so no info on that one yet.

2. You already created a new sandbox zoo, with the same problem - so no point of doing that one again.

3. What did you try already? (most likely CM's or moderators already asked) but a yes or no is enough.
  • Verify your steamfiles?
  • Did you reinstall the game?
  • Created a new franchise zoo and tried to get the quarantine building working in that mode?
  • Tried the same in a scenario zoo - I know the Panda one forces you to use the quarantine building. Did the quarantine building work properly in that zoo?

4. Other questions
- How big is your savegame file in MB ?

You can always try to find someone to help you personally (friends/family/neighbors) to send your savegame to Frontier.
This is the best way to get actual help with your specific problem.
I did all of that and nothing worked

Actually, it is so new, it was built after SEA (and the updates that went along with it) and it's not even finished now, cause it's still work in progress.
Mine is a work in progress too but I don’t have enough barriers I want a wooden fence for things like camels, llamas, Dall Sheep and Zebras and my zoo would be finished but I’ve been having this problem for so long.

@Brandon Gill If it's your first time uploading to the workshop, you may have to try a few times (also restarting your game) before you are able to connect to stream servers.

And, have you tried to do this as well:

For you to open this zoo file, please follow this link https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2507238790 and click on the big green "+Subscribe" button. When prompted, log-in with your Steam account so the zoo file can be linked with your Planet Zoo game.

After you subscribe, start your Planet Zoo game (if you haven't already), and go to "My Zoos" and then, on the tab select "Downloads". The "No path test zoo" should appear there. Open it by clicking on "Play as sandbox".

Now try moving the tapirs from the trade centre to the quarantine facilities. Are you able to do it?

Please let us know.

This what I mean when I said I have the worst luck with technology I did everything you said and it didn’t work I just want to cry😭 and by the way that message popped up twice so I don’t know what to do anymore.
Bit puzzled why the settings screen is in the background. You don't need that one.

Why this possible could give an error?
Did you buy PZ with your account yourself or was this gifted to you by another account? Which means you could have a Limited user account
Not the case if you have multiple games but I was told some games can't use all features when you have a limited account. (this is just a guess)
The other guess would be your firewall settings? But that's too much to explain imo.

  • Verify your steamfiles? What message did Steam show when it was 100% done?
  • Did you reinstall the game? Where there any files still left when you uninstalled the game?
  • Created a new franchise zoo and tried to get the quarantine building working in that mode? Did you get the exact same message as your sandbox zoo?
  • Tried the same in a scenario zoo - I know the Panda one forces you to use the quarantine building. Did the quarantine building work properly in that zoo? What happened here?
  • How big is your savegame file in MB ? How much is it?
I think you'll need to figure out why you are unable to mail a file to Frontier, maybe use an online tool like WeTransfer or ask someone to do it for you?
Waiting for someone who has the exact same rare problem, visits this forum and is willing to mail their file to Frontier - chances are very slim of that happening.
If it's like Britches' problem, most people will just delete that 1 specific zoo and that solves it for them. We'll never know.

For screenshots:

  1. Load the game and look for the part you want a screenshot of
  2. Press F12 (default Screenshot key) to save your screenshot.
  3. Close the game and in the menubar -> View -> Screenshots. The button: Show on disk will show you where it's stored.

Please let us know.
I couldn’t find that last night in the workshop on Steam, I tried to upload it via my phone but it didn’t work

Yes it was my first time uploading anything to the workshop

Try again.

Also, please please, subscribe to this file, open it, and try moving the tapirs to quarantine. TY.

Is it in the workshop because I couldn’t find it last night

Try again - I though you would use the link. But if you don´t use the link you wouldn´t have found it. Anyway, you should now search for it as well, as I´ve changed the visibility to public.

I typed in your name and didn’t find it, I typed in No Path to Destination test and I didn’t find it, like I said I do all this via my iPhone

If you search for "No path test zoo" with the quotation marks, you will find it.

Alternatively, you click on the link I've send several times in this thread, then click on +SUBSCRIBE and when prompt, insert your steam log in credentials.

Once you subscribe, the item will then be linked to your Planet Zoo game, and when you launch PZ, you'll be able to access it.

Ok thanks I’ll give it a try with the quotation marks

That´s great! We´ve made some progress!

Right, I suspect there´s something wrong with the layout in your original file - either paths, work zones, habitat gates... and something is preventing you to move animals to the quarantine building.

Have you tried uploading your zoo file again to the workshop? If you haven´t, please do so again (and this time, do not open the settings menu while uploading it to the workshop).

Yei! Some progress!

I´m a bit confused though, since there are no quarantine neither animals in that file.

Nevermind ... could it be possible that your facilities were not powered? Have you tried that? You can either put a generator close to the quarantine (and other facilities), or if you play in Sandbox, go to Settings, then "Game" --> scroll down "Economy Settings", scroll down until you get to "Power Everything". Tick it and all your facilities should have power (I´ve attached a screenshot).
