Horizons No surface shading around landing gear spoils pictures

I think that landing gear should always have some shadows cast on planetary surface, no matter the lighting situation.

Many otherwise beautiful screenshots I have seen fail where the gear meets the ground and look 'off' because of it.

To my non-game-dev mind there should be some 'simple' fix for this but I realize it could be quite complex.
 
I've been looking through my own screenies, and can't say I notice anything weird about the shadows.. as far as I can see both the SRV and my conda have complete shadows that look natural. Did you lower the quality of the shadows? Because that will make them less detailed, with rough edges.
