NO2O! Continuing the support of the 1.7/2.2 compatible HUD Matrix list!

Since, unfortunately, the OP in the original NO2O! has not updated the list in years, I have decided (with an arrangement of the mods) to continue the support of the NO2O initiative and update the list regulary.
Once the OP decides to show up again, the updated list goes back to the OP of NO2O! if the continued support is guaranteed.

This thread has just been created, please give me (and the mod(s)) some time to build up this post. It will be done soonTM.

I have copied the HTML code and converted it to bbcode. If you find anything that is incorrect, missing, broken or otherwise faulty, please let me know via a personal message.

You can now share your HUD configurations and I will update and enlist them every once in a while after checking its quality according to the submission guidelines that can be found at the end of this post.
I'd highly appreciate if you'd re-submit any configurations that have already been submitted but not been enlisted in the original NO2O! post (I will go through the old thread and search for submissions anyways, though posting them here again makes my it clear and easy).

UPDATE: I have collected all missing HUD configurations from the old thread, however, we are reaching the score of 100 configurations and I will need to redesign this post to allow for better visibility and avoid a scrollfest.
This means, all existing HUDs will be taken over to a new design I yet have to come up with, displaying the information in a more compact way.
Until this is done, there will be no updates in this thread.

  • In the interest of covering the widest possible range, configs that retain image detail, but completely the tint the image the same as the HUD colour are acceptable
  • Orange is also acceptable (as long as it's modified in some way from the default)
  • Crucially, we're trying to avoid moderate-to-excessive colour-banding/clipping/loss of detail, while preserving as many of the original hues as possible

I don’t mind the orange but it might be slick to have a different HUD going for different ships and roles.
This has always been a popular thing (in looking at people’s screenshots) so I don’t get why FDev doesn’t gives menu options for changing colors. Seems like an easy enough fix though I ain’t a programmer.

I am and it's actually really easy to write a file and load it again. But they don't to it intentionally because it "already exists". Same with all 3rd party tools like EDDB or Inara or trader tools etc.
 
Update: I have collected all posts from the original threads that submitted new HUDs, there are 32 posts in total if I haven't missed one. Considering each post potentionally has more than one HUD configuration, I will expect over 60 new configurations ... this is more than the amount of what we have now!
So we can look forward to more than twice the amount of new configurations!

However, since the images need alot of space in this post I will come up with a solution to display a demo of each HUD in a more compact way, completely overhauling the current post-design that has been copied.
In order to make it more efficient, I will most likely remove the current layout and replace it with a new one once I have decided on a specific design.
Each design will be given credit in terms of a link to the original post (let it be here or the old thread), but no names will be displayed.

Since your OP basically copies and reposts the original thread's OP, it would have perhaps been polite to have credited that originator (Terry Bruge-Hiplo).

I've dropped you a rep Cimson Kaim, since you are curating the NO2O data set now, can I make a suggestion to you? There was a thread a while back with a list of HUD colour schemes that still generated green/red friend/foe on the scanner, I reckon that would be a nice thing to incorporate in your freshly rebooted NO20 3.0.
 
If you look closely, you can see I have linked the actual OP in the very first sentence. It#s even the link to the original post!

Yes I know there is a link to the original thread. That is not the same as crediting the originator of your cribbed content. In other words I think you should at least have the decency to include in your OP wording that specifically credits the person who had the original idea and did the original work which you have lifted.

Aye, I was thinking about flagging the HUDs in the new layout with flags for colour, combat ready (friend/foe targeting possible) and maybe something else.
