Now that I have printed a cobra MK 3.

Badly, mind you, this was just a smallish test.
I think I will use white or green plastic instead of black.
I can paint and ad LED's for the engines and crew area.

The 'back' is wrong, because of how I printed it, which is ok for this one.

Having something to hold connects you to the game, like having the old ultima 3 fabric map.

You want something tangible, it really helps.

trying it at nearly the size of my print bed, still in black.

6 1/2 inches wide.

That's better, the filament broke, so that one didn't finish.

This one nearly is. thinner walls.

the inter layer grain is easy to deal with, a thin coat of paint or a brief misting of hot acetone will make it smooth.
The light is down the axis, its much 'less' in standard lighting
