used to live opposite the freight yard at Eastleigh, all bloody night somebody would be revving a container train at the signals, could tell them all by the engine noises. Didn't mind the deltics, or the shunters but the class 66s had a really prissy ticking sort of noise... </the full extent of my trainspotting>

To be fair, we all blamed Derek Smart back on Usenet before Frontier was even talking about making a new Elite game. It's sort of traditional to blame him for something, whether he's involved or not.

Haha you makes me laughing with this, because it’s exactly in the other way, some one tried to be critical and after this eggs was thrown at him. And it’s seems to be the usual guys who are couldn’t accept things like, elite is going under at the moment.
therefore before accepting this, peoples going to flame over guys like OA and moaning that he would clickbait, for Someone interest he didn’t need elite, but elite needs him, he passed over elite long time ago, his channel runs good without elite. And this has in the meantime, every greater content creator for elite checked neither good or bad.
instead try to arguing down real and valid critic it would be better to open the eyes.
but in case of obsidian I can understand why some of the believers didn’t like him, because he is someone who speaks open about son weird situations in here between ,whiteknights, and critical players. I guess that the reason that some guys are going to be harsh on him.

I don't give a fig about OA, I neither like nor dislike the chap. He is just someone on youtube who I don't bother watching, along with many, many others.
(Maybe, in order to post with some clarity, you might write your comments in your mother tongue and use google translate - not a criticism, I use the same when responding in kind in another place, the translation must be good as I've not been told my Russian stinks...)

It's crazy. I don't like all the us vs them mentality between so called haters and white knights. I don't have a problem with OA, I don't watch YouTube videos and that's all I can say about it. I criticise FDEV when I think they are doing something wrong (like communication or releasing the game too early) and I criticise the game when I think it does something bad (like performance or the lack of cockpit cats).
But the 'oppressed Forum minority' who fights a just cause against the brain dead white knights is one of the most ridiculous stories I've ever heard on the internet. Maybe that's because I try to avoid places that are even more silly than this thread.
Yes, I've seen some pretty stupid comments against OA. And I've seen some equally stupid comments against the so called white knight brigade which allegedly roams the forums.
I am not that surprised. I do believe that the majority of humanity acts idiotic, otherwise the world would be in a better state. I just don't understand why everyone is so eager to proof that they are the biggest idiot.
