Obstructed paths

Hi,
I have the Xbox One version of Planet Coaster and really enjoying it.
However, I've noticed when laying paths that it will quite often say "obstructed" seemingly at random, even though all I'm trying to do is lay a straight bit of path, there's nothing in the way and the terrain is flat.
I have a feeling it's a glitch as I've found if I delete it and then relay it again going the other way (say I'm trying to connect a ride to main path; rather than leading the path from the ride, I'll lead from the main path to the ride) and it will work just fine. Even though it's in the same place as before! But would like to know if there's something I'm missing. Does anyone if I'm doing something wrong?

Check if the path option ‘flatten terrain’ is disabled, in the path menu. This can be a reason for ‘obstructed’ on flat surfaces.
