I think they will do a CQC like to on foot combat.
I hope so.

I like to think of it more as CoD and shipsElite has sold its soul to become "Space CoD" ..... so much so that I'm expecting the announcement of a Battle Royale mode, because FDev are so disjointed from what people actually want.
That's not what I said. I said that I don't see them supporting/extending/expanding the 'flying-a-spaceship' aspect of the game. And as I have no interest in 'COD in space', the game is basically dead for me.The base flying-a-spaceship game hasn't been tossed out the window it's still there in Odyssey and running very well
Well, I expect the next expansion to be EVA and ship interiors, and that is all about the flying a space ship. And I still hope to see and fly the Panther LX a little sooner than that. That's not what I said. Can I still play the game? Yes? Am I seeing anything to look forward to/spend my money on? No.
Amazing! Have you read the OP? It does mention consoles quite specifically, you should be ebullient as well as amazed! As a console player, no matter how much optimism there is here, I'm amazed.

The one thing that gets me is that people think it's COD in Space. It's not. There's a lot more to Odyssey than CZs, it's just that's where people's focus is at the moment. Where the game works for me is where the gameplay requires both in-cockpit and on-foot gameplay. They say they're going to put in more missions like that over the next couple of months. That's not what I said. Sounds like a lack of imagination, Im sure more complex atmospheres will offer flying challenges. I guess some on here would argue that they spent 3 years re-writing the planet rendering system just so that they could re-release barren planets, some with a thin atmosphere and stop there. That's not what I said. You are spinning a narrative, not following logic. The share prices didnt drop because they released a paid-for DLC.That's how Frontier work though. It's not a lack of imagination from the players... we could all think up wonderful ways in which planets could be utilised and extended. Unfortunately, none of us are writing the game.
But if anyone honestly thinks that they're going to pour time & money into another expansion, when Odyssey single-handedly wiped 40% off their stock, where the reception from players (even if it works) can at best be described as 'mixed', well... you're kidding yourselves. Just like all the other failed expansions (multicrew, powerplay, etc), they will indeed stop right there.
Add it to the growing list of half-baked, unfinished game features.
Again more spun narrative, this time base on out-of-context quoting. Brilliant.I'm amazed that you expect another expansion to E: D, especially containing things that Frontier have already repeatedly stated they're not going to do. That's optimism on a whole new level.
Didn't you mention that the game would be dead in 6 months - what, 7 months ago? That's how Frontier work though. It's not a lack of imagination from the players... we could all think up wonderful ways in which planets could be utilised and extended. Unfortunately, none of us are writing the game.

Steam shows concurrent connections at a moment in time... Good for trends though, which currently is rising... Never mind though, you tried to predict and failed, maybe next time?Pretty much is, isn't it? Steam never seems to show many people playing.
