My main concern I had was with the UI menu, it had many features from the old UI menu missing or hidden without any sort of start up guide/training for the new UI menu (Not everyone watched all the Alpha YouTube videos), where maybe for a short time it had pop up bubbles to show you were a certain function or feature was.
Outfitting menu;
ISSUE - You can't see the engineering information on your stored modules in one click - you have to load the module onto your ship to view the new modifications tab.
SOLUTION - Have the same modifications tab available across the stored modules and loaded modules
ISSUE - You cant 'transfer' your stored module onto your ship directly from the stored module section (Which was available in the old UI)
SOLUTION - Make the transfer module to ship facility available again in the stored module section
Galaxy Map Bookmarks;
ISSUE - I actually cried when I saw this change (And YES I'm female). I had set out my bookmarks so all my top used bookmarks were right where i needed them. you categorised my bookmarks and they were all over the sections. I found it too much to deal with by that point, It took my a long time, I'd say months to organise my bookmarks and they were changed to which I would need to have resorted them all out again. And as you already know we need far more bookmarks that just what we have now.
SOLUTION - GIVE CONTROL of JUST the bookmarks section to the user. Allow THEM to organise and categorise their bookmarks how they want and I'd say 500-1000 bookmarks per CMDR would be a nice thing for us to have please.
ISSUE - I used to be able to plot a route direct to the location of a site, planetary ring, planet or station in one click from the bookmark - it plotted the route direct to the position you had bookmarked. This is now missing and you have to highlight the star, planet or moon, then open the system map and then target where you want to plot to... Too Many clicks now than was previously.
SOLUTION - Go back to the old plot route direct to where your bookmark is set to.
ISSUE - The whole Pilot/Station/Ship Outfitting colour scheme is incompatible and the new yellow colour makes me physically nauseous (NO JOKE). After around an hour of wandering around in the pilot equip and suit menus I was feeling sick. The yellow colour is all wrong. It doesn't go with the original Orange and Blue. After navigating through the menu and then trying to play Odyssey I had to stop playing as I felt really nauseous.
SOLUTION - 2 options
1. Change the UI colour theme to make it able to be chosen by the user to suit their colour preferences. Have a colour scheme menu either in the livery or in the options of the main ED menu to change the colours of the UI menus and also the cockpit colours to suit the user.
2. Change the colour scheme of the UI menu and remove the yellow and replace it with maybe a teal blue, off white, mid green or red.

ISSUE - Landing on an atmospheric planet and attempting to get out on foot and being told that it is dangerous to disembark. The issue here is not knowing that you cannot step out on foot, and only finding this out when you arrive, and land on a planet and in some cases do not have an SRV on board to continue exploration.
SOLUTION - In the System Map have information to tell you if the targeted planet is 'On Foot Exploration Available' (OFEA), or some form of visible detail like when you can see the graphic for if it's landable, has an atmosphere etc.
ISSUE - The NPC A.I is too high against one or two users. I tried to play and I found that you get swarmed by too many NPC's even after you have cloned an ID. I believe that once you've cloned an ID, when you're scanned they will read the ID you have cloned and 'Not Know' that you're not that ID, so they shouldn't immediately attack you for that, they should let you go on your way.
When they do alert against you, and call other NPC's you are swarmed and they never seem to run out of ammo or get good damage from you're weapons. In short, you die far quicker than they do. and switching weapons is either too slow or too much to get a good win.
SOLUTION - turn down the A.I alertness, allow for the user to hide and the NPC's go back to their roles, allow the Cloning ID to do as it should, fool the NPC's into thinking you are who you have cloned and let you go about the base as they would allow the original ID person would.
If a person has been killed and been discovered, the NPC's flood to the dead person and not towards the user unless he/she is in the vicinity and then alert against them.
Make the weapon switching faster and the ammo levels a lot higher. Reduce the NPC's ammo to where they run out and have to go find more like we do.
ISSUE - Pilot accessories costs and engineering are way too high
SOLUTION - Reduce it. Grinding is hard enough as it is for a ship, which takes sometimes 2 to 3 days to acquire the materials and then do the engineering. the suits and weapons engineering from what I've seen on videos is much higher and much worse of a grind.
ISSUE - Embark/Disembark - It just doesn't 'work'. If we are meant to be having this 'Armstrong moment', then we needed to at least walk up and down the escalator into the cockpit of the ship, or some form of user interaction to board and leave your ship or SRV. Simply teleporting in and out isn't right, it feels unnatural. I as a user, stood in front of my Mamba's stairs and in the blue circle and could not walk up those stairs, but instead was teleported up, which was so awful. It then brought up a question; that if you can teleport into and out of your ship and SRV, why do you have to use a taxi to go to a mission site or your ship (taking sometimes 15-20 mins to reach your destination!), why can you not use this 'teleport' you've created ?!?!?!?!
SOLUTION - PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, put in some form of user interactive Embark/Disembark at the very least, or the ship interiors (Please face it, many many many, CMDRS WANT IT)... Please
Finally I want to say, I really really wanted to love this expansion, I got goose bumps from the official trailer and I was talking about this with my boyfriend for weeks, and we both eagerly anticipated this release, I even bought a new copy of ED on the frontier PC platform in preparation for the Odyssey release and synced my Steam ED profile up to that so I could play it without having to use Steam.
