I really think that Settlements should get a separate filter on the Nav Panel.
Eventually Planetary Ports/Outposts should be moved in the same category with the Orbital Stations/Outposts

Reason? In some systems, the Settlements are more than Carriers and they make difficult picking a Planetary Port/Outpost as a destination

You can use the POI function in the system map, that breaks down the all the stations into what they are and you can navigate to them from there by just holding down the mouse key. It's like a nav panel just for various station types.

I agree and I'd like to see tab options for carriers as well, the Nav panel can be a nightmare to navigate with so many categories all lumped together. I know we can filter but I often find myself refilter for different systems which is a pain

I sometime used that, but it's not exactly a nav panel and it's not as fast as opening the nav panel.

Also during the system map / or going directly to the planetary map itself from the cockpit. The points of interest should order / seperate
Detailing which settlements are on the planet you are looking at and which settlements are elsewhere.

The current ui flow from cockpit goes something like this:
1) target planet.
2) target settlement
3) muse over what facilities said settlement may have.
4) Nav panel. Track down bouncing ball of the the target contact as you whiz past other planets with settlements and stations
5) select look at planetary map from the navigation panel
6) get a clean map with a hopefully the highlighted target infront of you. Scroll click around. Loose the target lock open POI and you are can’t even remember which planet you are looking at was it HIP 1726393 A 2 B or B 2 A rhusenko’s mine or billy bobs barbecue (?)
