Odyssey VR specific bug reports - please contribute!

If I krank it up beyond the point where I'm at, naturally it'll start to stutter and become unplayable.
But I'm in 4k per lense 120hz.
It's lovely.
No artifacting no tearing etc. However cos of trailblazers, during the day it's a bit stuttery now n then but that's cos of cmdr traffic.
I play mainly at night & early mornings (I work permanent nights) and at that time it's flawless.
You need a decent rig to get the best out of VR in elite it's that simple.

I was not able to reproduce this even when trying to tank my performance by cranking up the quality in game.
I'm not sure if I should add that to the tracker?
Not all issues affect all users and sometimes it can be the player’s system that is the cause, not the game - there is scant information included in the report in question (even including headset type could have helped) and I’ve been unable to duplicate the poor System Map performance, so I won’t be adding a confirmation to the report.

I'd like to show FDev how many of us are hoping to get improvements in VR.
Is the plan to all vote for this issue?
If anything, keeping creating fake issue reports (this is not a bug, and the creator of the report surely knows this and is trying to be smug) and mass voting on it will probably get you less support and goodwill from Frontier.

That is a good point, should probably have something in the suggestion forum instead.

The most up-thumbed suggestion doesn’t seem to have swayed FDev 😕
That is unfortunate, reading about various suggestions and VR being more niche, I don't expect FDev to make this a priority.
I'm now wondering if there could be a hack to at least make the external camera more versatile.

I've been using it a lot but having to switch from "front CMDR view" by default and not being able to interact with anything is definitely making the experience difficult.

The “Introduction To VR” challenge scenario report has now got the green tick of Acknowledgement and leaps into the popularity chart six places from the bottom 😁

There are much more deserving VR issues to fix, but the spot shadows problem got sorted ages ago and still has a number of votes attached to it - which could be better used elsewhere hint hint.

On foot isn't VR. True. But, and it pains me to say it, it's as intended.
What's really the issue is the relatively low resolution the little box we play in is.
I either avoid on foot or switch to pancake.
We fought long and hard to have VR ingame. The Gods were going to drop it entirely.

Thank you again for tracking this CMDR!

Do you know how to "unvote" something that was fixed?
I see how I can unvote an open issue but not the one that are fixed.
I have a mix of 10 fixed and open in my voted list.

From Frontier's FAQ:

Please be aware that your votes are limited! Once you have used a vote on an issue, you will not be able to use this vote again until the issue has been fixed, or you revoke your vote from this issue. Each user has a maximum of four active votes at any given time.
I'm confused.

@Groman - Further to what JR250 says above, if an issue is marked as “fixed” then that vote will automatically become available.

You should have six votes in total, contrary to what the FAQ says.

Currently there is one VR issue that still has an active report but has been fixed in-game since Update 18 (detached spot shadows).

Thanks for confirming, I have 6 voted and don't see any "detached spot shadows" in the list.
Most of them are VR related.

Could be they have a 'pinned window' in the Quest home, or passthru is enabled, or other thing that shares the focus. Or maybe the Link bandwidth settings are messed up. Alternatively, their openvr_api.dll might be corrupt. I'd recommend they "validate files" from the launcher.

I run the standalone version of the game, using a Link cable, and a Quest 3; no issues with this.
