i hope this will be the chance to clarify some interesting questions about the game

Anyway, it seems like Prem Beta will not be released in 28 days if they are "way off" from A4.
Its time to switch off the hype-mode for now, lads

you may be right, but, not meaning to split hairs, just becasue A4 wont be released.... it doesnt mean there wont be some shots of their internal pre alpha 4.

There is still time. Currently we do not have any information about delay of PB release. Only A4 is mentioned in Michael's posts. We'll have to wait and see.

Well, i was realy surprised by the 30th May for the Prem Beta, i didnt expected it so early. Its ok, they should take the time they need. From my point of view there is no need to feed the hype-train bye releasing hasty release dates (and the initial PremBeta Date seems totaly unrealistic to me tbh).
I expect the PremBeta not before 07/2014.

Does this mean that Alpha 4.0 will be the first opportunity that beta-ists get to have a tinkle or will there be a 4.1 release?
I expect PB1 to be expanded version of A4. So it can be released soon after A4. A4 will be to test if there are major showstoppers before PB is released.
Somewhere I have seen posts from devs that there are several updates planed for Alpha 4.

Mmh... Alpha4 will not be released in the next 4 - 6 days, i think we have to accept that. If the Alpha realy will get several "expansions"/new Versions (4.1, 4.2, 4.3,...) how can it be possible that Alpha Backers will receive the PremBeta 2 weeks BEFORE the 30th of May (wich is about 3 weeks after the supposed release of A4)?

Even with only ''few'' star systems to explore, the whole galaxy will debuts in there.
And probably there are a lot to do with details on ships, tradable goods, (may be) a new space station to show.. etc.. etc..

Why can't it be released 2 weeks before PB1. I am expecting release 9.05-16.05. A 3.0 was released 14.03, A 3.1 - 17.03, A 3.4 - 01.04. As you can see 4 updates were released in 2.5 weeks time.
It is easily possible if A4 is PB1. Although PB1 might me slightly expanded, i.e. there could be more stellar systems.
